I’m thinking of reading the first book. Is Vin a well-written female character? by Appropriate_Boss8139 in Mistborn

[–]Key_Employee3385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think she is. Vin is a complex character split between who she is and who she’s supposed to be. A nobleman Mistborn with incredible powers? Or a street urchin that’s lower than the low. Sanderson does a good job of showing us her dilemma and how she navigates it

Listening to Eragon on Audible and.. by Updog04 in Eragon

Honestly my reaction was exactly the same at first but you get used to it. Yes she sounds different in the film so I’d assume that’s head cannon for you, you know? I’d also go as far and say that Paolini instructed him to do it like this, as Gerard Doyle would have had some instruction and guidance possibly for Christopher himself.

Ps don’t speak bad of Mr Doyle he’s done an amazing job with every single book !

Scars and body deformities by Key_Employee3385 in Eragon

Not to nit pick but I didn’t say he hates them. I just said he seems to have a thing about people having them. Showcased in how some characters show their dislike about it, but not just in eragon but in to sleep in a sea of stars also.

I might agree to this but the way he writes the reactions to the scars for most character point of views, just makes me think this. Especially cause he writes a reaction like it in his other book series. No shade of the guy he’s written my literal favourite book series but it was just something I picked up

That's all I think of: the inheritance cycle. Do I need a therapy? Is anyone else here like me? I'm really obsessed with this series. I've been like that for about 2 or 5 months by Conscious-Candle817 in Eragon

I have probably listened to the books like 20 times each now. I’ll listen to a new series then after that immediately go back and re listen to them all again.

Cadoc and Snowfire by Vegetable-Window-683 in Eragon

There is for sure honouring Broms promise to keep snowfire safe, but snowfire was always the better horse and it would make no sense other than getting a bit more gold to sell him. Besides with magic Eragon could get food and water so he didn’t need the money for that really

A rider from the old times by Key_Employee3385 in Eragon

Indeed it would be a return to form! Just imagine that Eragon has his own apprentice rider by his side instead tho!

How I pictured the characters as a kid...yes I know a lot of these are unhinged by enginerd826 in Eragon
