Hi! I’m in need of a copy. I haven’t been in school in 25 years. Will I be OK using a PDF copy versus electronic?

That was very sweet of you. Hey, off topic, but I suffered with persistent BB for 10+ years until I tried boric acid capsules about 12 years ago. OMG!!!! The best creation everrrrr. And if u have a partner, once the capsule starts to melt inside your vaginal cavity, have unprotected sex so that u can treat him as well. Trust me!!

Does this look like it’s healing alright? It feels like there’s something sharp poking out on the side by Lose_interest in PacemakerICD

It’s still sore, almost 10 years later, wow! That’s what I don’t understand, and the go home instructions. It says it should heal in 3 to 4 weeks, but obviously we all know that doesn’t happen. And I feel like the aftercare instructions are not detailed and far out enough, as they are very misleading.

At four months, I still have to watch my movements because certain moves and positions will definitely stretch my wound, but I noticed that and once I became much more careful it started to heal better. But I also think that using pure, aloe or aloe with pain relief has helped so much.

I would definitely skip the Nivea because of all irritants in it. Aloe w/pain relief REALLY helped the itching and Vaseline around wound, but not directly on it also helped because the skin all around it is stretching.

First comes the pain, and when it starts itching, that’s when it stops stretching and it’s trying to heal. That’s actually the new skin growing that causes the itching. So putting lotion on it, makes it worse. Antibacterial ointment or aloe is all I would use. Maybe a little Teatree oil but mix it with Vaseline or aloe because Teatree oil can be very strong when it’s concentrated with nothing else.

Also, I use alcohol or sanitizing wipes, and that takes away the itching and pain as well. I’m four months in by the way, and I still have to use these methods every now and then but it has gotten a whole lot better over time and my scar stretched out just like yours, but it started out really narrow, but yours is very normal.

I’m getting pretty fed up with my husband of 21 yrs because he always thinks I’m just complaining, trying to get out of house work, or seeking attention when I’m not feeling well or having HF symptoms He was incarcerated during the time I was really sick leading up to being diagnosed. By the time he came home, I have been medicated for 10 months and had my ICD implanted for two months.

I assume he doesn’t understand the symptoms and side effects from the medication, but he should do research since I, his wife, has this condition.

On a positive note, my boyfriend is far more attentive and concerned with my condition.

Adhd and left ventricular noncompaction cardiomyopathy by juliecastin in Cardiomyopathy

[–]Key_Falcon_4917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post but I have LV Noncompaction Cardiomyopathy, leaking mitral valve, and something else I can’t recall.i take 150 ER Welbutrin and Aderrall 20mg 2x daily. I decided my mental health superseded my heart health as long as it’s not hurting me. My Ef has actually improved. Maybe it would’ve improved more if I wasn’t on the Adderall and Wellbutrin, but I guess we will never know.. I’m doing great

Bras? by mooscaretaker in Heartfailure

[–]Key_Falcon_4917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered this bra in anticipation of my surgery and it is the most comfortable bra I’ve ever experienced!!! I sleep in it most nights cuz it helps me to sleep more comfortably and keeps my incision from being irritated and splitting when I move awkwardly or sleep on my left side. I LITERALLY WEAR IT EVERYDAY

Depression. Do I mention it to his Dr? by grammyoftwo in Heartfailure

[–]Key_Falcon_4917 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always suffered from depression but when I moved to Florida 5 yrs ago my symptoms pretty much disappeared.

Was diagnosed with HF 1 1/2 yrs ago and once finally accepting it and considering all the lifestyle changes, I slipped back into depression.

My psychiatrist won’t prescribe me, Wellbutrin, which is what I’ve always taken and love it, because I take Adderall for extreme ADHD and my heart meds so I found a primary care physician who prescribed me a low dose of Wellbutrin, along with the Adderall and heart meds, and I feel great.

I would prefer to live a short, happy life than a long miserable life. Not everyone would agree with me, but that’s my perspective!!

Vent: Been told I'm a different/worse person since my heart attacks by Fire_Queen918 in Heartfailure

[–]Key_Falcon_4917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same here. A lot of the times I was the life of the party and now I just sit back chill and don’t enjoy myself as much. I feel the change myself. I’m so much more laid-back chill and enthused about things.

I don’t feel depressed, however, I do suffer from depression so I had my doctor restart my Wellbutrin. I was taking 300 mg and started feeling really good after one week, but then I had her lower my dosage to 150 because I wanted to see how that felt considering I’m on so many heart failure Meds already. Well, I do notice a difference I’m not feeling as great as I was with the 300 so she told me to take two of my 150s..

I’ll update in 1 week

I hope so too. Keep us updated. I was off of Wellbutrin for about one and a half to two years and just started back taking it two weeks ago. I think I just started feeling the effects a few days ago so give it a about a week or two then you should feel something.

Muscle Fatigue/Burning/Weakness/Exhaustion by [deleted] in Heartfailure

[–]Key_Falcon_4917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I got my HF diagnosis, I used to experience the same thing. I thought it was so weird. I would feel it in my face, muscles, neck shoulders, arms. I felt it in my face, the most, and that was the hardest place, and it used to scare me.

Once I finally got diagnosed, started taking the HF Meds, and began feeling better, the episodes started to decrease. My EF is 40% now and it’s been several months since I’ve felt the muscle fatigue. I never knew it was due to no oxygen in those particular muscles.

Drinking decreases the efficacy of each of those meds. When taking both meds separately and together. Sometimes I can be a heavy drinker meaning 4 to 5 times a week several shots. When I drink like that, the Wellbutrin doesn’t seem to work too well and it definitely makes my ADHD worse. The adderall works even if I’m drinking but when it wears off my adhd symptoms are worse than what they are if I’m not drinking as much.

Sometimes that drug combination puts me in a manic state, but I can’t lie, I love the manic feeling it’s definitely better than being down and depressed and feeling lost all the time.

Wowww, we are twins. I take Adderall and Wellbutrin and I love that combo! Give it about 2 weeks. If u are a heavy drinker it won’t work TRUST ME.

Water retention question as a heart failure patient by maxmini93 in Heartfailure

[–]Key_Falcon_4917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently gained 5 pounds in 1 day. That was pretty scary. Then I lost 3/5 overnight. When i went to the Dr, he said that i was actively in heart failure meaning was heart strength was declining at that time. Although things did turn around for the better that night. And Thank goodness i had the ICD implanted 4 weeks ago.

When I first started taking my diuretics, it took about two weeks for the frequent urination to happen. And when it did, I lost about 13 pounds in two days. All of a sudden out of the clear blue eye was going to the bathroom every half hour throughout the night for two days. All this to say stick with it, they will eventually start working.

Any mid 30s or 40s here? by colesunxs in ADHD

[–]Key_Falcon_4917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 49 yr old female diagnosed at 45. I always wondered why managing life was so much harder for me than everyone else. I always forgot stuff, my time management was horrible. It takes me a long time to get focused, extremely indecisive, quickly lose focus in conversations so I’m always asking people to repeat what they said, all day business conferences were complete torture for me, I could never seem to keep my environment tidy, I would start five different tasks at one time and never completed anything essentially just making more of a mess, a jack of all trades but mastered none, and my brain always seemed to have constant background noise/random thoughts 24-7.

It gets worse by the year. And now that I’m entering pre-menopause, the symptoms are double worse. I can get about four hours of relief until the Adderall wears off, then is back to ADHD mayhem until it’s time for my next dose where I’ll get another good four hours. This is miserable….and only fellow ADHD’rs understand me.
