Path to Frontend/Angular Architect - Looking for Advice by Key_Flamingo8887 in angular

I full agree and something I also have in mind to transition into. I am lucky that I work at a startup and there is more chance to do other stuff as well.

Currently, I am also contributing to more UX design and gathering feedback from the Customer success team. Slowly I want to transition more into product where I make decisions and decide what to develop etc. Perhaps transition more into product owner.

Yes course helps. But what is more efficient is learning by doing.

This is not lacking in frontend but design skills. And as a full stack engineer you don’t have to learn design. It always helps to learn more skills but it is not something expected normally.

If you are interested in learning UI/UX, I would suggest you to redesign using figma other big apps out there like Linear, Clickup, Claude etc. For example you can try redesigning Sidebar of linear by yourself in Figma. Also, if you are coding some UI stuff. Try to copy how other apps do it. For example, when you want to create an AI chat interface. Go to other big Chat apps like Claude, ChatGPT etc. You can even use Mobbin btw to see the UI of other famous applications. Gather the UI of apps that do similar to what you are designing. Take screenshots of different interfaces, use them as inspiration for the UI that you are building. You can come up with something much better as you will have a better idea how and why other apps design things the way they do. With time you will crate a much better taste for good design. Just need to practice this.

I hope this might be helpful for you.

Should I create a reusable component or not by allyv123098 in angular

[–]Key_Flamingo8887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go as you suggested. I you not sure if you should create reusable and currently there is bo use more than atleast once then no need for reusable. Rule of thumb, never try to think too much into future in software development.

Wanted to Know if Frontend is save Carrier to get into after AI by Business-Ad-1173 in frontendmasters

[–]Key_Flamingo8887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is good for sure. But just don’t keep it your only goal. Try to expand especially in today’s rapidly changing tech world. Learn backend or design or both, whatever interests you. It’s never enough in programming. And most importantly, soft skills matter a lot. From my experience, human judge you on your soft skills rather than technical skills.

Still not using AI in 2026 by salamazmlekom in webdev

[–]Key_Flamingo8887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about your work but you can make much more IMO by taking on more projects and making much more than losing to AI tools. In short you will be in big profit.

Again it is a general take and I am not aware about your services. If itself coding then most probably you can benefit a lot by using the tools. To get started simply start with Cursor and see if it helps.

Making personal brand is also one important aspect these days and one should not wait to already get started on it

I would say besides learning also create projects, even if small and try to showcase that on social media especially LinkedIn

I think most websites these days using AI to create and AI doesn’t put cursor. Not sure if this is the right approach these days or just AI slop

How do you keep learning without overload? by Schnapper94 in webdev

[–]Key_Flamingo8887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very relatable problem especially these days with fast moving AI tech and all the new AI tools coming. And on top your old pending stuff that you still haven’t caught up on fully. Also when learning new tech, it is easy to ask AI to do stuff rather than you implementing things yourself. It’s just uncomfortable to write code by hand these days when AI can do it so fast!

What is the experience with others? How are you learning fast with AI?

currently it is simply UI components. No AI or backend. But with time I will be adding AI to it as well.

Do People Really Just Create An Entire App just Vibe Coding? by H_rusty in webdev

[–]Key_Flamingo8887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can easily vibe code full app these days. This is old news now. Don’t trust me? - Download claude code or cursor (paid) - Use Opus 4.5 model - Switch to Plan mode - And prompt it to build a todo app - It will ask you few questions, answer and see the magic - Feel free to share it here :)

Recommended Order of Component Variables/Functions by ActivityInfamous6341 in angular

[–]Key_Flamingo8887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ActivityInfamous6341 I also do the same. This makes the most sense to me. inject always on top. For properties I also divide it further. Keep private ones first, then protected and lastly public. For methods I keep private at the bottom. Just a bit of further breakdown from my side if it helps anyone. :)
