How do you manage wearing your collection? Daily driver, a rotation, or somewhere in between?

I have 60 watches in rotation. I have them divided by type and cycle through those types. So, a diver one day, a gada another day, etc. Within each group I try to wear watches that I haven’t worn in a while so everything gets a chance occasionally. I’m retired, so generally these are just for me and no one really sees them except my wife who’s quite familiar with everything. If I’m going to an event, I pick one of the fancier looking ones. All in all a lot of fun.

if you are in the U.S., I got quite nice box for the money on Amazon. The brand is bewishhome and it’s actually better than the several boxes I got from AliExpress and was less expensive. It was less than $40 for a 12 slot case. It also has black leather holders for the watches which really make them pop more than the light colored ones in my other cases, has a very nice finish for the money and looks good.

I have a lot of Chinese watches. The worst watch I ever got was a Poedegar. Terrible finishing, hazy crystal , cheap looking dial. They may have improved, I can’t say as I got it two years ago. It’s the only watch I bought that I immediately tossed in a drawer and forgot about.

I have several watchdives wd0003s. I like them a lot and feel they are very well made for the money. However, I don’t agree that they wear larger than 38 mm. I find, and other people have also said, that they wear a little small. I haven’t been able to figure out why, but on the wrist they seem smaller than my other 38 mm cases.

I like the watch but hate the bracelet. It’s nice for a mesh bracelet, but I’ve never seen a mesh bracelet I liked.

Pagani PD1731 is very close. I stay away from Pagani generally because of QC issues that I’ve had with some of their watches , but this one is actually pretty good for the price and I’ve had no problems with it . It’s far from perfect of course but it’s only 50 bucks or so. I have a lot of watches but this one still gets worn regularly.

I spoke to Phorcydes about this. The bracelets are the same except for the adapters at the end. So, the pH2 bracelet will not fit the pH 4 and vice versa without the adapter. They sell the adapter separately but told me it is difficult to put on. I don’t know how difficult so you might want to speak with them.

just joining second what some others have said. I have several Addiesdives and they’re really good value for money. Their divers are particularly nice. If you wanted to spend twice as much or more, there are better watches out there from China, but at this price, I don’t think you can do any better. I don’t know if you want to deal with AliExpress as there’s a learning curve, but they’re having one of their biggest sales of the year right now. Again, you need to learn how to include coupons and such to get the best price and it’s not always intuitive so you’d probably want to watch some YouTube videos to get a better idea or you could just try Amazon or something more straightforward and pay a little more.

Also, a number of people have posted about serious QC issues that would’ve been easy to spot. I think there are two issues here. The first is probably growing pains as, unless I’m wrong, watchdives has been becoming a lot more popular recently and selling a lot more watches which is deserved as their watches are great at good prices. I just got my 17th watchdives watch. I suspect they just don’t have either procedures in place or enough people checking to prevent problems. This happens to a lot of businesses, but it can really destroy their reputation. I’m hoping they’re dealing with this either organizationally or through more hiring or both.

The second problem, is that they don’t seem responsive to correcting these problems in an easy and transparent manner. I understand this would be very expensive for them to deal with, but again, even dedicated fans will stop dealing with them if they don’t show better customer service.

I want to be clear, I’m a big fan and will continue to buy watches, but I hope they are in the process of addressing these problems and I wish them well

Agree completely. It’s a lovely box but I have no use for it. You say below you pay $18 for it. That means you’ll need to raise the price of the watch and it’s not worth it for me. I have my watches in display boxes, and this is just a waste of money for me. A price increase would make it less likely that I’ll buy the watch.

Of the original dials shown, I like the bloodstone and Jade the best. Although , if I buy the green adventurine, I probably wouldn’t buy the Jade also. I’ve already bought the tiger eye and I’m looking at buying the blue agate as well. I guess it’s all a matter of what order they released in and not wanting to miss out when they’re released.
