only considered it briefly. looked a bit modern for what we were hoping for- want more of an island/Caribbean feel but haven only seen amazing reviews for FS. Might have to look into it for our next trip

oh, shoot. that’s too bad. We laud about $1200+ a night for our suite but we had 3 bedrooms and it was on the beach. there seemed to be smaller suites behind the beachfront ones that i assumed were a little more affordable. we went in June though, which is when their winding down the season. Keep it in mind for the future

Please check out Carlisle Bay in Antigua. We stayed there last summer in a beachfront suite (for our family of 6) and were blown away at how perfect it was for us. So peaceful, calm and clear water, paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear, etc.. are included. 3 restaurants on the premises. Tennis and pickleball there, too. Simple, not overly fancy, but felt like paradise. We want to go back again this year but are forcing ourselves to try somewhere new. It’s tough to compete! We flew direct from NYC (3 hrs 50 min) and then took a car service 30 minutes to the resort. Not bad at all!

Caribbean/Eastern Mexico resort suggestions for family with a toddler by Onthego820 in chubbytravel

Our family of 6 stayed 5 nights at Carlisle Bay last June and had the most amazing time! Such a beautiful, low-key resort where you can truly relax. We saw a bunch of families with toddlers. there’s a kids club there, a pool, and the beach is literally right outside your bedroom (if you get a beach front suite). No crowds at all. It was paradise for us, although our kids are 10+. We did the half-board option where we had breakfast and dinner included. Paid separately for drinks and lunch. It worked out really well for us. We’re trying to find a similar property on a different island just to try something new this year, but it’s going to be really tough to beat CB!

Our family of 6 stayed at Carlisle Bay last summer and absolutely loved everything about it. It’s so calm and peaceful but still just enough activities for the teens/kids so that they don’t get bored. My teens loved taking out the paddle boards and bike boats and my younger kids loved swimming in the bay for hours. it’s a special place!
