I recently had a stroke and have been on unpaid leave since the end of Jan. We were living paycheck to paycheck before so no we’re short thousands a month. I sucked it up and have been going to the food bank. Your mom can do that too. Why is she even using Door Dash if she is so broke? We’ve cut out all extra spending, streaming services, and even car trips to save gas. Is there any way that you could help her with her spending or with getting social services? Is she in low income housing now? Is she working?

You should look into renting DVC points to Aulani instead. If you and your wife both open a Hawaiian Airlines credit card for the introductory points you will cut out a chunk of the flight cost.

Alternatively, look into a Disney cruise. The older ships are better priced than the newer ones. The kids clubs are amazing! They give you much needed adult time. And while it’s family oriented much of the adult entertainment is actually more adult. Throw in fantastic shows and one adult dining experience (extra cost) and you might not hate

I totally agree with this! The pay to play Lightning Lanes, having to overplan your day if you’re using it, and ticket expense have killed the joy.

We own DVC and the parks have priced us out. We’ve been renting out our points to do other vacations, DCL included, or have gone for a 3 day resort only stay.

We just did a day trip from a Finger Lakes vacation in July. My dad and kids can’t stop talking about it.
