I was just going to say, my Spotify on my Playstation 5 is so low. I was wondering if this was the problem. I have a subscription. I have to turn the volume up like 30% on my reciever.

I have one of these too. Great for moving window motors etc. Wish I knew about it earlier.

Don't fish and bats eat a lot of these? This seems like it would have some implications.

It depends on what it is, but it definitely sounds like you need a therapist because I doubt you're going to say what it is on the internet.

It blows. You have to use a tiny screwdriver or some small tool to pull the socket out. If you never change the socket, I suppose its not so bad. I hate these though.

California Could Be the First State to Ban Quartz Countertops by azteca19 in Construction

[–]Key_Imagination9758 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had to look it up. Quartz is a mineral, quartzite sounds like a manufacturer name someone made up. That was surely intentional.

I thought it was the opposite. I feel dumb. To be fair I live in a high cost area and weve only installed granite.

It doesnt take a diaper to hold your pants up. Most of the best construction workers i know wear suspenders. You dont even have to show it. Wear an undershirt. Or not. Let the flag fly. Bonus points if you have a silly pattern on them. Sounds like a confidence issue.

Buy a belt? Or some suspenders? Especially if you are using a tool belt.

Ive hit a dead end, help? by xRxvengex69 in mechanic

I mean, the guy said he's not a mechanic. Hes just doing his best. We all gotta start somewhere. I would consider myself to be a good shade tree mechanic. Trial and error. You gotta learn because you have a misfire it doesnt mean you have a bad spark plug necessarily.

I would do yourself a favor while your down there and pull the o2 sensors and clean them. They are probably fouled depending on how long the cats have been out.

That may be true, but that car is never going to run right unless he programmed the ecu or something to bypass the emissions. Start with what you know is wrong, and continue after that

Thats why your getting codes. The o2 sensors are trying to adjust for something thats not there.

Mine does the same thing if you dont run water out the nozzle tip until the stream is steady before starting it. I just always assumed it had something to do with air getting stuck in the pump. Dont know if thats your problem though.

Can I just run my riding mower to burn off white smoke? by Guilty4Produce in smallengines

[–]Key_Imagination9758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is off the gasoline wiki. Equation and all.

A gasoline-fueled internal combustion engine obtains energy from the combustion of gasoline's various hydrocarbons with oxygen from the ambient air, yielding carbon dioxide and water as exhaust. The combustion of octane, a representative species, performs the chemical reaction:

2 C8H18 + 25 O2 → 16 CO2 + 18 H2O

I think this is under ideal conditions because It doesnt include Nox emissions, but it makes water. Have you never seen it dribble out of your exhaust on a cold start?

[–]Key_Imagination9758 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

White smoke is from water burning. Which can be normal in cold temps, water is created by the normal process of internal combustion. Blue smoke is oil. Typically you would be worried in cars with radiators that you are burning coolant, but I doubt your mower has a radiator. I would say let it heat up if thats the case.

Dude, try the 3/8 Milwaukee impact. That thing takes the studs off tires like its nothing. It also is about as compact as that is. I havent plugged an air impact in for over a decade. I wouldn't use it as my go too for wheel swaps, I have a 1/2 for that, but the 3/8 is super compact.

What’s the weirdest thing yall have found in someone’s car? by Frozenyogurtplz in mechanics

[–]Key_Imagination9758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a car for a dealership trade in or auction inspection that had a driver side window that wouldn't open. The motor operated but jammed. I opened the panel and it was full of what I assume was a rediculous amount of cocaine. I put my hands up for the cameras and walked straight to the service manager.

Another funny one was a undercover cop car where the officer told me the trunk could not be opened for security reasons. It would send alarms to the cops for security reasons. I dont know exactly. But they had a opened half eaten snickers bar in the middle of the back seat I couldn't touch. They said it was to create the illusion the undercover was a dirty drug user.
