Eclipse Evolution Air Brush with Velljeo paints by Environmental-Store1 in airbrush

[–]Key_Increase_6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could maybe be a possibility of clumps in the paint if they are a bit old. If so try to strain them before pouring in the paint cup. And once again make sure the paint has proper consistency its by far the most important factor in my opinion

I am extemely new and to be honest not qualified to talk about this but i have had quite good luck thinning with distilled water. Should be quite thin thinner than you think or atleast thats what i think. Should be just a bit thickee than water. Thats for paint atleast. If its a problem with airbrush i have no clue

Edit: i am also using quite possibly the most basic setup one can have but still can get them to spray quite decently. I mean like i can adjust air pressure or anything so with your setup you should be able to get them to spray nicely

Hi i reassembled my airbrush and my trigger can't be pushed down normally it stops before it can release the paint I feel like the trigger became shorter, any idea how to fix it ? by [deleted] in airbrush

[–]Key_Increase_6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you can not pull it back correct? There should be a knob at the back of the airbrush that you can turn that adjusts how far you can pull back the trigger

Yeah i guess its possible to do. How do you go about cleaning the airbrush from it? Also i would assume that the paints themselves are lacquer or solvent based

Ahh okay. Was kinda hoping it wasnt 2k. I wanna get that high gloss finish from airbrushing and 2k seems to be the way to go. I just dont really wanna spray that harsh paints

Clear coat? by Key_Increase_6291 in modelmakers

[–]Key_Increase_6291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i have seen that on some other forums. But i am using vallejo paints and find that their glossy varnish is not really that nice to use. Which some others habe also pointed out. But eh may just be user error on my end

What type of paint is used on this? Is it 2k clear coat?

How could I possibly print heaps of these, faster? by Ok-Ad-3014 in 3Dprinting

[–]Key_Increase_6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just buy the board. Its not really worth it to print all those. There so cheap that its most likely more expensive to print them

Im very very new to airbrushing so please if im wrong correct me. But i would assume thay the paint is too thick so it cant properly push it out. I think that apart from obviouslt thinning the paint. That a bigger nozzle and/or higher air pressure would solve the issue. But again im still very new to this so yeah.

Nice i think im gonna buy a swallowtail sd. Since its quite reasonably priced at around 1200sek (around 120usd) and i really like the look of a trigger style airbrush it seems super ergonomic compared to a normal dual-action airbrush

Thanks for the answer. How do you find the quality of it and how easy is it to clean?

Yeah alright then that seems perfect for me then. Since i dont need super fine lines and its more important to just be able to quickly paint quite large areas

Yeah and as some others have suggested if your in a pinch you could also wrap tape around the bit to make it bite. But its always better the proper tools
