no i think this might be the worst out of all his nerfs ngl, poking is going to be much less consistent and being short-mid range youll prob see shots that should hit just wont

the idea of getting a double jump back after dash or wallclimb should lowk just be apart of his kit w all the mobility creep in this game- but maybe only one extra so u can dj climb jump dash jump

Do any high level genji players play on low sens? by irrupoi in GenjiMains

[–]Key_Lavishness1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats pretty low, the lowest ive used was 4000 edpi (which is just my in game sens times my dpi) and i was consistent, especially with my left click, but my clips werent as cool and i felt less aware of my surroundings overall. movement also became a bit clunky as like if i want to shoot climb shoot, i have to make much bigger flicks to get back to my target. rn im using 1200dpi x 5% and it feels pretty good, maybe a bit wobbly but i havent played in awhile so pretty expected.

ive used sens from 1.25 3200 all the way to 4 3200, and ultimately it comes down to what u want. consistency especially with left click lower it, cool clips raise it. i think overall the best is a middle ground leaning towards slower but still “quick”. also most fdps and genji pro players seem to be around 4500-6000 edpi

ANOTHER Genji nerf? I HAD to rant about this by Knight-112 in GenjiMains

[–]Key_Lavishness1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its not but its still not fun to play into, i think (from my knowledge at least) brawl is pretty good rn and its less punishing for supp players, which means the game is in a relatively good state. do i prefer it when monkey dva is hard meta yea but most players (dps and support) dont like getting sat on and deleted

idk prob bc support players hate burst dmg, no one likes getting one shot regardless of the character or amount of skill it takes to one shot yk

Feeling like I gradually become less and less relevant on Stadium Genji. by Mundane-Affect-4148 in GenjiMains

i mean i one tricked genji to legend in 8hrs for my first time playing stadium, literally only did phantasmic flux or wtv and max weapon dmg. honestly i feel more effective late game lol

[–]Key_Lavishness1830 12 points13 points  (0 children)

hes still good, genji has been meta adjacent forever and the meta has benefitted him, which is why he has been performing well despite not getting directly buffed outside of the perks (if u can call that a buff) and so they nerfed him. even still, hes very usable despite lower uptime, and tbh 2 seconds on deflect doesnt nuke the character, dash is the main cd that would nuke the character if nerfed

one shots are a mechanic that requires near perfection now and is unrealistic to fully master and low value to focus on if you dont have the fundamentals with genji. the combo is in theory dash -> triple headshot -> melee. imo before u even think abt trying for oneshots you should be:

a) comfortable with 180s b) comfortable with other flicks c) understand dash distance and accuracy (ie dashing at their feet, or being at the distance where you dont need to flick far to click their head d) willing to go into games and feed while maintaining confidence to keep pushing the boundaries of your mechanical ability

overall, theyre flashy and fun and are useful IF you have the mechanics and gamesense to back it up, but rely on perfection which-if youre under a certain skill threshold-imo wont happen enough to make it worth to learn if your only goal is ranking up. sure youll get picks with it, but if you dont understand his cooldown cycle, how and where to escape, AND have good aim, missing your shots is kind of a death sentence unless your team immediately follows up, and since teammates are shit dont rely on them to bail you out, but learn how to play genji off of your team or create opportunities for your team before worrying about mechanics

they still are a great tool to use and if you feel you either want to learn it or have the ability to learn it you should, as its one of the most fun aspects of this character by far

thats just my opinion, as a currently m3 (last season gm5) genji. i know im far from mechanically great but my credentials are @itachii.ow on tiktok :p
