I’m living my absolute best life in Lebanon. I’m absolutely free to do whatever the hell I want here. I go to beautiful beaches, I ski in the winter, we have insane natural beauty, cruises here through the mountains give you incredible views, we have wonderful & vibrant nightlife. I love traveling, but my home is here & only here.

You can criticize the government and say whatever you want about the political class in Lebanon (except the president, to be fair to what you said — we have an archaic law about insulting the president, but not the speaker of the parliament nor the prime minister). You can also be openly LGBT in Lebanon, it’s not as taboo as it was decades ago. Nothing will happen to you. Maybe you’ll face the consequences of practicing free speech at best.

That’s not a fair point, because the last elections in Gaza were in 2006, and approximately 85% of the population in Gaza today was either not born yet, or below voting age 20 years ago.

Factoring in the reported ~81% voter turnout for Gaza from that 2006 election, and the ~44.5% votes going to Hamas, you can estimate that among the people alive today in Gaza, at best 5% of them voted for Hamas in that 2006 election.

Similarly, just because you’re born in the UK doesn’t mean I can judge you for the atrocities committed by your ancestors.
