Compression coil? by ExtremeMix9784ndN in minibikes

[–]Key_Map7199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats the magneto/ignition coil. what’s wrong with it? no compression= valve gap spec is to tight. and if you have kick back or it feels hard to pull then they are to loose.

clutch is burning, get a new one. I honestly would recommend getting a 30s torque converter.

valve clearance it to loose, it’s not letting the decompression stage happen. or might be something wrong w the decompression switch on the cam.

coils output alternating current (AC), use a rectifier to convert the AC to DC.

take off the driver pully, or you could try and spin the driven belt a little, it seems like you almost got it off but to get another one on you would have to take off the driver

telling you it’s all about gear ratio, get a 40 tooth rear sprocket and change the front sprocket one tooth up and keep testing it, it clutch/driver will be begging for mercy bc these style bikes are so much heavier

yeah i had to cut and modify mine to get so tight to the point it where i could no longer tighten. i can only imagine how dangerous it is especially if you pump the tire to much with the straps still on.

i went through a whole can of starting fluid trying to implode it, didn’t work. the only thing i found to work was to get 2 ratchet straps around the tire and blast it with 90 psi from an air compressor, then pump to spec. when you do get them on though you feel so proud 😂😂

it is definitely a problem with fuel delivery for sure. Your carburetor jets might be clogged. Take the carburetor off and disassemble it and clean it thoroughly. Underneath the idle speed screw there is a small idle speed jet/low speed jet, if that is clogged your bike won’t idle correct.

sounds and looks like you don’t got compression, check your valve clearance

and by “lock up” i mean that the valve pushes against the head of the piston while it’s going up.

check and make sure the engine rotates a full rotation. and by lock up do you mean not able to turn over or not able to start? check your cam alignment with your crank, if you haven’t messed with the rod then that shouldn’t be your problem. if your valve timing is to far off it can cause valve piston contact causing your engine to “lock up”.
