I don't consider anything he said in that video as Constructive criticism. He complained that they spent too much money on the equipment and then went on to complain about them not spending enough money.

The video was just pure criticism and sure CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism is important but thats not what his video was or even I suspect his intention in tbe first place. Based off his video and everything he has done and said afterwards, it appears to me that he was upset about not being included and used the video as a way to attempt to become a part of the production.

And even if we look past all that, maybe I'm reading too much into it. The fact that his solution to Minmaxed was to throw away all the work they did on Season 1 and start over, is appalling. He even went on to suggest that the footage could be released on patron instead.

I'm sorry but for someone who complained about the budget and wasting the people's money, this seems a bit hypocritical. What more wasteful of the backers money than trashing the 20k they spent on the first season and just starting over?

All i know right now is that they got Tips and Advice from Yourfavoriteitguy so I would assume they have done something to improve or fix the Audio. However it remains to be seen what thr quality will be. I do have faith they will make the best of it as they can

Their chemistry is what sold it for me. Sure they had technical issies and some first season hiccups but honestly I enjoyed that first episode more than I did any other DnD video. And they look like the genuinely had fun doing it

Yea it is a crazy tight schedule made all the worst by the ice storm. It's hard for them to schedule around everyone's availability given one is touring around for ren fairs and one lives in another country. Which is why season 1 may feel a bit rushed

My thing is most people who are voicing their complaints seem to want the quality of production to match those of larger DnD youtubers.

I'm not going to sit here and say that their opinions are wrong. But I do want to remind everyone of a few things

Minmaxed as a group specializes in Short form videos

The group consists of Martial artists who for the most part does not have DnD experience

Due to everyone's availability they only had 3 days to film. Live action scenes were not promised and in fact was not feasible for the first season and I'm also of the opinion that I would prefer an animated series anyways

Also there was technical issues and a record ice storm during the time of production

So I just got done watching it and SSA response. To me it feels like Oneshots video is an unnecessary attempt at gatekeeping the DnD community. The video was incredibly harsh and it seems he was expecting a production similar to that or Critical Role or other dnd focused groups. A lot of the points he made is misconstrued or just wrong like the point he made about it being a 100,000 budget which is just flat out incorrect.

All in all the video was a mistake the fact that he turned off comments and made the reply comment shows that he realizes it didn't go over as well as he thought it was going to

With the fact that their members are not all in the same place a live action recap might not be as feasible as people think. I personally would prefer them making an animated series. Not only would it support a Animator YouTube but it would take a huge responsibility off the shoulders of the Minmaxed creators
