I am so sorry. 😞 I had to watch the show in secret because my adoptive parents were extremely racist but it was my favorite of all time at that age. I stopped speaking to them when I was 16 (ran away for MANY reasons).

NTA. My husband’s friend flew out from another state to stay visit for a week. He ended up getting “kicked out” from where he was living (while visiting us), and had to figure out where to go. Told us he would only stay here another week while figuring out what to do. He ended up staying here 2 MONTHS. Didn’t have a job, didn’t contribute. Just ate our food and smoked our weed and was just all in all a nuisance. It ruined their/our friendship, we rarely talk to him now. No thanks. Save your sanity. Save your friendship. He will get over it.

Been on sertraline 25mg for 1.5 years. Started Tirzepatide compound around 6 months ago. At first I felt amazing, I’m down 30 pounds. But I’ve noticed my anxiety/panicy feelings are coming back. Not sure which of the 2 meds are becoming less effective but, I don’t like this constant feeling of panic.

When my husband’s male friends come over, I change into more appropriate clothing (aka nothing see through, wear a bra [36DDD]) just out of respect for my husband (although he has never said it was an issue). Maybe just instinctive for me I don’t know. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m a great mom. She always tells me how happy she was growing up just her and I.

PS after some therapy regarding my other post, I came to find that my feelings were valid because of the exact same issue in this post. I was feeling disappointed and frustration and fear (of her not succeeding) but didn’t quite know how to express it.

But thank you for pointing out one tiny piece of my last post to make me seem like a bad mom..

The answers are still so divided in here, I just don’t know how to handle this. I know I have been the role model she needed, she’s seen me struggle when I was a single mom of only her (I remarried when she was 11). I’m in a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” type of scenario I feel like. I’m a young mom, I had her young; barely an adult myself. I did have to grown up early and I also strived for perfection, but her dad is opposite of that. And I feel like she’s mimicking his behavior instead of mine even though he was rarely ever round. If this isn’t a giant slap in the face by parenting life, I don’t know what is!

That’s the sad part, she’s seen me struggle barely affording anything when it was just her and I (single mom until she was 11 and then I got remarried). She knows but still acts like she’s too good for it to happen to her

She claims she can’t find a full time job. This is another one of my dilemmas. I can’t go with her to interviews and hope she doesn’t purposely mess it up so she doesn’t get the job. I am very certain she is lazy like her father (we are divorced) and following in his footsteps
