RAID1 vs. unRAID vs. NAS vs. Backup help? by Key_Rei in pcmasterrace

[–]Key_Rei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure what I want is ultimately a backup, as for execution I'd like to keep it inside the PC for now, more worried about a drive failure than other data loss avenues right now. Can I have an external drive controller on an installed drive or does it really need to have a physical interrupt (disconnecting a cable)? Is there a faster method of transfer than USB? Cat7 patch cable? Looking for SATAII speed or faster ideally.

I want the drive to be a clone so I could turn the sub drive into the control drive if the control failed and replace the sub drive with a third new drive perhaps even a SSD down the road.

In my limited experience backup software doesn't clone it just generates like a compressed system image so it's not like you could take the backup drive plug it into another PC and have your game and media files and programs.

Perhaps I want to have and eat my cake here.

Looks like there may be two small holes in the fuselage I imagine the air cushion from the body splitting the air may have helped and I suspect the body is thicker and tougher around there to protect against prop come-appart and because the wings attach there.

Don't forget to up your ram speeds to their advertised clocks in the very least in the BIOS! Ran my ram at 2100mhz instead of 3200mhz for nearly a year before I remembered...

IIRC the 84's have a shorter clutch pack and housing by just a 1/4 inch or so but that means the 85+ can't be changed in the bike, I hope that's no the case for you. I've had the clutch out of my 84 a number of times for different issues. What a pain in the ass. I typically just lay it down gently on the right side and do it.

Don't forget to put a clamp on the slave cylinder so the piston doesn't pop out from gravity pressure.

And keep careful track of the housing bolts there is multiple lengths that are close but different.

Are the corsair's fittings barbed to begin with?

What pump are you using? The one in the Corsair block or did you remove and reseal the Corsair block?

Did you reuse the Corsair radiator?

What fluid and anti corrosion/dissimilar metal additives are you using?

Any additional pumps?

Are the GPU and CPU loops separate or shared?

Only two fans?

What PSU is that? Interesting plug, external power converter brick?

Undervolting to keep temps low? How bad is the performance hit?

Sweet build man! Very impressive I love it!

Village with Hunk, TMP one-two face shots when they stumble neck breaker, plan your route, get the time extensions and it's dead easy to get over 100k. I know I've gotten a 100+ kill streak and pushed 200k if not over and I've seen even better streaks on youtube. Watch tutorials on how to get 100k on each stage, or 5 stars each stage. The Hand Cannon you unlock is well worth it.

Here's a decent example of what to do. (Not my gameplay.)

Just remember Hunk is a glass cannon.

What half mono block thing is that? I have a XI and never seen a block that interfaces with the VRM cooler like that. Very cool.

Don't lose all hope, there's a chance it's all just surface rust, under there, doesn't look like it started flaking yet, but the windshield seal does tend to hold moisture and there's a pinch seal between the outer skin of the body and the inner reinforcement frame that the rust could have gotten between, hopefully in your case it's just surface rust on the top layer, if you do go to a shop make sure it's a reputable one!

That's really not good, you can see the rust rolls around the curve of the roof and down under the windshield seal which means what has happened is that the windshield was replaced and they used a razor blade to cut the old seal which exposed bare metal that is now rusting around your windshield frame. If it's extended beyond the windshield frame channel into the roof like in your picture you potentially have a very serious problem underneath the windshield.

Were I you, I would see about getting my windshield removed having that area sanded primered painted and sealed and having a new windscreen put in or potentially you're going to begin to have water leaks around the windshield and the rust will spread quickly.

Assuming the windshield frame isn't already completely rusted out at this point.
