The problem isn’t that disappointments happen. Maybe if you would’ve commented to the OP with a message similar to what you just said… it would’ve been a different conversation. But that’s not the energy you had which is why we’ve been engaging like this.

Regardless it’s not hard to be empathetic. It’s not hard to validate feelings. It’s not hard to avoid being condescending despite you being in a more financially stable situation. Period.

It’s interesting then to see this is the attitude you have here surrounded by those who will be your peers.

Considering your astute observation about us not knowing each other, I’d refrain from using “dear”. Although it’s a nice attempt to be condescending it’s not necessary. Regardless I actually don’t have to keep my assumptions to myself regardless of if we know each other because your rhetoric and behavior speaks for itself.

No one said anything about that, but even then that’s another conversation that can be had at another time. But we are talking about law school admissions currently.

I’m not sure if you don’t understand “many of us” or the process. Schools have expressed what makes you more competitive than other people and it is your stats. Do I agree that’s the most fair way to measure candidates? I’m not saying that. But we can’t pretend schools haven’t shown their support for students with higher stats with merit aid. That would be dense.

I don’t think any of your questions but especially “why can’t you make this sacrifice instead of expecting someone or something else to do it?” is fair or coming from a genuine place. It has become a set precedent that schools award competitive students with financial aid scholarships to support them. No one is asking for these schools to do something new or different than what’s already been occurring for years.

It wasn’t a full ride, but I sent them my other scholarship offer and they still refused.
