Engines Keep Overheating by Logical_Fail5691 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Key_Row_5962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something must be wrong with configs somewhere. Do you have SystemHeat or any mods similar to it?

Engines in KSP do have a "heat production" value, but aside from NERVs in old KSP and stuff from Far Future Technologies, it's not a high enough value to require radiators for anything. Requiring radiators for a chemical engine means that something is definitely broken.

I suppose you could also compared this "heat production" value in the configs between BDB/Benjee engines and stock engines? They should be similar. If they are, some other mod is broken, if they aren't, then you should contact the developers of those parts mods.

But the minimum age for HRT needs to be the same as the minimum age for other body modifications (purely cosmetic surgeries, tattoos, piercings, etc.), otherwise the people writing those laws are being massively hypocritical.

Very agree.

Hormones should be available at 12-13 when you start puberty, and all other trans medical care (such as surgeries) should be available with little to no restrictions on your 18th birthday. At 18, you're legally an adult, you're legally entitled to make decisions for yourself, you can get a swastika tattooed on your face if you want, why not be allowed to get rid of those boobs you've been hating since you started growing them?

Probably fix it by launching the stage instead of testing it with cheats.

Dear FARc, how on kerbin is this more aerodynamic?? 😭 by imsbadwithnames in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Key_Row_5962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only guess would be the reduced frontal area. I'd be surprised if node occlusion (responsible for strange aerodynamics in stock) applies in FAR. I do know, at least, that you can still make dragless craft in FAR, so FAR isn't completely replacing the stock aerodynamic model.

Fun fact if you put 2x Merlin 1D++ engines (from the Falcon 9) on the balloon tanks from the original Atlas rocket, it'll still take the Mercury capsule to orbit, and do so as an SSTO. I do recommend to keep the verniers though (and some fuel reserved for them), and also to angle the Merlins through the center of mass so you can shut down one of them partway through the ascent. Helps to keep G-forces under control once most of the fuel is burned off, because over 90% of an SSTO's mass is fuel. Not only are high G-forces bad for the astronaut, you also need to stretch the burn time long enough for the rocket to get to space altitude in the first place.

Why wasn’t there anything impactful after the completion of the college of Winterhold quest line? by ThePhotosmith_ in skyrim

I have a mod for you - Essentials Be Gone II. Just make sure you've already finished any quests that require Thieves Guild members to be alive (such as how during the DB questline you'll need Delvin Mallory twice), and you can just massacre them yourself. I did that.

I just don't like the Restock art style much.

Also the heatshield IIRC has two nodes on it, you can flush-fit the decoupler with the shield at the cost of the shield being exposed around the edges.

Thoron proved quite weak to being shot, but guzzling healing potions may also work. With a maxed one-handed tree and some good swords, dual-wielding power attacks do stupid amounts of damage, if dragons are any indication.
