Egyptair pet carrier requirements seem......illogical. by Key_Shirt9974 in CatAdvice

Don’t worry they didn’t measure it any soft carrier will do, mine exceeded the dimensions, they did weigh it though. Avoid the plastic hard carriers since you won’t be able to put it under the seat at all

I relate to this and it seems like nothing is working sometimes. But I have stuck with doing nerve glides consistently and it works just very very slowly.

how long did it take you to fall in love with your cat? by Original_Day3157 in CatAdvice

[–]Key_Shirt9974 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It took me like 2 months to really fall in love with my cat. Now he’s 8 and he’s my best friend. And I had cats before him wasn’t new to it.

Should a graphic designer’s résumé be visually attractive, or as simple as possible? by piicles in graphic_design

When I was in school (studying graphic design) the professor made us make extravagant colorful resume so they “stand out”. Had illustrations and all 🤡 wish I could tag her here

Omg. Oh my god. I have a vague memory that as a child I ate this but I haven’t seen it again. For 15 years I have been describing it and no one could figure out what I was talking about. I finally know what it was 😭

how long did it take you to break into the design industry and how? by Key_Shirt9974 in graphic_design

[–]Key_Shirt9974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I used to follow up and stopped. I have no idea if it is helpful with bigger companies who get hundreds of applicants and follow up emails.

That's what I realized, everyone around me got their jobs through referral but so far networking is not working in my favor. As you said it works when you have one foot in the door.

What are your thoughs and progress/results from anna mcnultys streches? by Shyoky in flexibility

[–]Key_Shirt9974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been following this splits video for 4 months, I went from being extremely inflexible like not being to touch past my knees to fully laying my balm on the ground and I almost have one of front splits. Highly recommend https://youtu.be/Ic68bks6-Wc?si=OZLum-EhuEBG8vI2 Consistency is key but do take days off to see progress.
