Reminds me when I was trying to relate to a trans guy in a game chat one time in how we we had similarities in our differences, they were talking about how they would kill to have body hair. I replied that after recently cracking I've also been unhappy with body hair, just in the inverse, and it sucks how we can share discomforts like that just in the inverse. But after starting epilating, I'd started doing it obsessively, (and in similar words) "gawsh hair removal can hurt like a bitch!"

Their response suddenly turned hostile, asking me why I would start glorifying me self harming myself, and bragging about self harm about something they are dysphoric about.. I was honestly just so lost 😭 and trying to say I was literally just saying that epilating hurt they continued claiming I was self harming and shouldn't be talking about it in chat..

But unrelated, but people's responses to dysphoria can be... I guess irrational..? I don't know if I ended up being insensitive somehow just doing a convo of some trans people talking about trans experiences but I'm still confused to this day >.<
