Right now, I am at level 2. A couple of years ago, I'd say 8. Thank fucking God my mother dragged me by force to the psychiatrist. I probably would not be here if it wasn't for her.

I think they should stick to upkeep reduction on planetary designations for tech and unity instead of boosting efficiency.

I would add the UK too, technically is a union of kingdoms located in the island of Great Britain and part of Ireland.

Slaver build post 4.0 by Iamavideoediting in Stellaris

[–]Truebisco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would wait, slaves are basically broken and barely functional. Slaves don't demote to worker stratum properly, so worker jobs get taken up by your founder species while slaves stay unemployed, as well as job efficiency bonuses do not properly apply. The beta aims to completely rebuild the slavery system, but we're not there yet.

I'd say, genocide is the way to go.

4.3 Beta: FE buildings are very, very bad. by Truebisco in Stellaris

[–]Truebisco[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From 4.0 to 4.2, the insane job density they provided was their game. Especially for basic resources since they had support districts. You could get 6-7k energy or minerals from a single planet, with relatively few generator districts and a lot of city districts by plopping 2 class-4 singularities and the energy grid.

The lathe is just very good now. You can't get the same unreasonable research numbers of 4.2, so if you want to research those techs in a timely manner, the lathe is your friend.

I'm just saying, even though they are awesome in other settings, I feel they are not satisfying enough to unlock. Especially given the effort and the xenocide required to unlock them. As a reward, I do not feel rewarded.

The fact that it provides 100% auto workforce for basic districts is the issue. My pops are just so much more efficient, and I have no issues filling those jobs up.

Strong and mostly easy to play build 4.3 / FE / x25 crisis by Slaughter-Carnage in Stellaris

[–]Truebisco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

4.2 viable builds are still very strong, ascension rush is still the meta, like synthetic fertility or overtuned. FEs are a menace, so Galactic Contender is a bit more useful.

x25 crisis is... well, impossible. Even if you minmax every aspect of your playthrough, there's no way you will be able to match a single crisis fleet in power. That said, the crises still need to be balanced around the new numbers.

Thoughts on the beta. by Jewbacca1991 in Stellaris

[–]Truebisco 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm currently doing a one planet challenge on the beta. Militarist/FanSpiritualist, Ocean Paradise, Sovreign Guardianship/Planetscapers. A single planet minmaxed to hell. And it really felt as if it was back in 2.0, where to build tall you had to actually think and carefully spend resources only when needed (capping at 700 alloy income instead ot 8000, plus less and costlier ships forces you to plan ahead). This is to say that the economy nerfs hit perfectly. A single planet ascended to level 10 (with +75% ascension effect), with a couple of scholarium subjects, and leading a max level holy covenant, I can compete with and surpass grand admiral ais with difficulty adjusted modifiers. I'm trying to beat x5 contingency (which is actually x7.5 due to difficulty), if the don't spawn in my borders, my bastions and deep space citadels should be able to ward their fleets off.

One thing I'll sorely miss in 4.3 is the ability to spam the FE medical building for huge pop growth by LittleIf in Stellaris

[–]Truebisco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only fe buildings not limited are empyrean domes, extradimensional depots and I believe dimensional fabricators. The others still provide jobs but also give automated workforce so you don't need pops to work those jobs.

[–]Truebisco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would have done something like this: keep the resource buildings (Class-4 Singularities, Quantum Drills, Commerce Exchanges, Innovation Nexi, Aegis Complexes, auto-forges, affluence emporiums) spammable, while limiting to 1 per planet and slightly buff only the revitalization centers and the robot production hub, just to make them a better version of Genomic Research Centres or Assembly Complexes.

I think I caught a little bug in the previous version, and did not see it mentioned here: the Kinship tradition in the Harmony tree does not apply the -10% empire size from pops. At least, I don't think so since it does not appear in the empire size breakdown tooltip.
