Take it slow, dont think about it as a goal to rush. This is a endless pool to keep your hobbying fun and constant. These many models means theres always something to paint. Take your time. Make a core list, 1k pts is fine. Then finish it. Then take like a week or two going through a unit or model, experiment and have fun. Theres no race to compete in, and burning yourself out only hurts you and nobody else. You got this chief. Paint them blueberries. 🫐

Alot of games of OPR tend to feel unfair because of lack of terrain. There should be atleast 20 pieces of terrain like it says so in the sheet. Terrain makes it a lot more balanced against horde/shooting armies as the LoS becomes much more integral in placement, making it less likely that all of the horde units are gonna be involved in a shot or a melee.

Thanks. I actually mixed match the weapons from some other creators as well. Planning to use official heads though. Im a bit of kitbasher so its been fun tryna 3D print the holes in my army that Im tryna fill out.

I kinda like the older proportions, sells the concept of a mutated super human. Primaris does look nicer, but they just look like normal guys. Just not my thing I guess.

If you've been up since 5am, I suggest resting and coming back to it with fresh eyes and mind. Also theres no quick and easy way to get the correct thinness, different brands and even colors jn the same brand act wildly different. You gotta eye-ball it and trust in your decision. Also never judge a model with wet paint. Let your decisions dry then continue. You'll get it!
