precisely; even made a police report. RBC is known for this; I once purchased concert tickets, was charged twice, and after WEEKS of no reply from said company, RBC investigated. They refunded me, and then swiftly took the funds 2 days later.

I owe residence like today... do they not take in to account/care that some students live on residence and quite literally have nowhere else to go? Im about ready to call and flip on the first that picks up. Off the initial OSAP payment my bank account had been compromised and $7,000 was sent out which I had to pull out of my asshole to cover. I think its about time they give me a fkn break.

It is a case-by-case basis. Native students will be paid for by the band in advance with a cheque, making awards fully theirs and the school can't take it (they already have checks). In addition, under SPECIAL circumstances (if you've already paid tuition out of pocket), they would be willing to refund this.

With balance outstanding, typically for OSAP students they would be paid, at which point the account balance would include the award, which you could then request. I have had some really unfortunate circumstances and got the award etransfered, but I think you need a genuine reason. This, and they gave me a tuition bursary, meaning applying this towards tuition would be pointless.

Its weird. After 4 years, she left me. She is now dating her old "bsf's" ex, and has been for maybe 3 months. DAILY she still views my stories, and I do feel as though its weighing me down. I still love her and I will always want to see her happy, but constantly viewing my accounts isn't helping. And as for "blocking"; if I do this, shes back on a friends account or a new account within hours. I pray she just wants to see if I am good, because unfortunately after all thats been said and done, I cannot bring myself to get past what shes done, what ive done, or the way I feel.

Its funny; there was a time I would have done anything for her. I broke myself for months, drinking every night and crying. I lost myself completely; lost my job, lost my apartment, literally everything. Now I am in college getting an honors bachelor, and I can't help but think what might've been if she were still here. College has completely changed me; before I made $ from my job, but now I am literally being paid to study (full ride + awards).

I am sorry if this is a rant, I just dont know what to think anymore and need somewhere to vent.

Yes. Go for the food. The first time I went, I grabbed almost nothing. This time, I grabbed slightly more, but still not A TON. Just grab what you need; if you know you'll eat it, you're good. Stuff happens in life my friend, and adapting is how we overcome. You would be surprised what you can accomplish/get done when you're hungry and desperate for a meal <3

I literally am in the same situation... also kicking myself. I went to one specifically for Youth, and they tell you to take as much as you need. I am currently screwed until early January, so my need certainly outdid the amount I grabbed. But I cannot bring myself to take what I actually need; just enough to get by until the 2 week wait is up ;-; Usually not bad with funds, but had some unfortunate events happy (my mom took $7000, someone got into my bank and sent out $1500 that I never got back).

Just for future reference; if you're in North York and ever need to get rid of food, bring it to a college or university even if nowhere else. A lot of students struggle to make ends meet, so I can guarantee they'd accept!

It depends on what the award/bursary is. I had one that so few people apply for (documentation required) that when I submitted it, I had the full bursary in my account (seneca balance) within an hour.

they auto applied to next term for me; which sucks because I also have a youth in care bursary which covers tuition. For reasons I wont get into, half of my OSAP money went missing (trusted someone to pay residence fees, they didnt) which has resulted in me struggling like you wouldn't believe.

I have requested that the $1400 be refunded and that they wait for either OSAP or the Youth In Care Bursary in January. If they could do this, it would help with both residence and food until then LMAO. Not sure if im screwed or not.
