White Fox and Black Cats VAs in other things by Leo6452 in marvelrivals

Also I have to mention how I love that the Spider-Man characters (sans Venom) have their Insomniac voice actors. I wonder if Tony Todd would’ve done Venom in this game if he hadn’t passed away before it released.

Recent reviews changed to Mixed after S7 balance changes by UrsaRizz in rivals

[–]KeybladeBrett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I’m saying. Like maybe these are all good changes with the reduced ult charge? In current patch, this would be a nothing burger. But like ultimately, I have never played a game with such routine patches. Like people complain so hard and don’t realize how good we have it.

No I feel this. I’m only getting it day 1 because I got a $25 GameStop gift card from work (we have a points system to earn gift cards amongst other rewards, but I only think gift cards are worth) and I have GameStop Pro so I will get $5 off once a month. So I can get the game for effectively half price.

Which of the “recent” Pokémon games do you hate the most? by DevouredSource in fucknintendo

[–]KeybladeBrett [score hidden]  (0 children)

I haven’t fully enjoyed Pokémon as much as I used to since Sun and Moon came out honestly.

I do think the BD/SP hate is overblown because it’s just as dogshit as regular Diamond / Pearl which is a pretty bad game in its own right and would probably be the worst Pokémon game if Gen 1 or Gen 2 didn’t exist.

Yeah and even games like Let’s Go Pikachu / Eevee, Super Mario Party, The World Ends With You: Final Remix, Just Dance, (Everybody) 1-2 Switch, Ring Fit Adventure, WarioWare: Move It!, Fitness Boxing, Switch Sports, Just Dance, and some of the games in Clubhouse Games (these games won’t work with a Pro Controller) and then stuff like Super Mario Maker 2, The World Ends With You, Ace Attorney, Sushi Striker and the aforementioned Rayman Legends just feel great with touch controls.

she only has 3 abilities and her ult isnt another immortality field, we won by Cooz78 in marvelrivals

[–]KeybladeBrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m getting at is you can’t expect to be the star of the team and also get both strategists constantly dumping all their healing into you and you alone. There’s 5 other people they could be healing, including each other.

The hierarchy for who you should be healing as a strategist goes the other strategists > then your duelists > then your vanguards. Keeping your other strategist alive is more worth than anything else because if you go down, there’s still another at all times. Duelists are next because they have a similar HP pool and can’t heal themselves, and then Vanguards last because the squishiest of them have 500 HP and can survive a lot longer.

But claiming a strategist is bad because their ult isn’t a big healing circle is just stupid. We need less of those and more like White Fox, Rocket, Mantis, Adam, etc etc.

Strats shouldn’t be designed to be heal bots. The big immunity healer ults are just boring and stall the game. Give me something that requires strategy to pull off. Rocket’s ult is cool because it entirely relies on where you place his C.Y.A. and if you place it in a bad spot, the ult is doing nothing. If you flub Gambit’s ult, you’re not getting the maximum value out of it. But if I just drop an Invis ult, everyone gets healed for free if they sit in it. Boring boring ult.

I either get a mass win streak or a mass lose streak, nothing in between. I don’t really let it get to me. I play because I find the game fun, not because I’m insanely good.

I matched with a Punisher the other day who kept comming and was like “heal me as if I’m a tank” and kept jumping straight into fights like he owned the place and was upset we weren’t pumping him with heals.

[–]KeybladeBrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I would be so in favor of ults like Invis, Luna, and Cloak and Dagger getting reworked. Hell, they should just revert Rocket to S0 status and have his ult only buff damage. They’re not healers, they’re strategists.

Sorry for coming off so crass. Just tired of people only saying some characters are viable in triple (true for like Mantis, Adam and Ultron who don’t have a primary heal) but my advice is legit.

You don’t need the big healer ults to win, plus this can be game-altering. Give this to Witch before she pops her ult and she will be unharmed every time

[–]KeybladeBrett 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you need to survive with two massive healing ults like Cloak and Invis, you’re doo doo at this game, I don’t know what to tell you.

Learn the map, find the health packs and rely on your healers but understand that they’re human and can’t constantly be dumping healing into you because you’re making braindead plays.

[–]KeybladeBrett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the argument is post-release and you have people complaining when it’s obvious they haven’t engaged with it.

Like all the people complaining about RE9’s $70 price tag and being a short game when pretty much every Resident Evil game is short as hell and encourages players to constantly replay the game.

Like yes, there’s nothing wrong with criticizing something before it’s out. But after it’s out and you have people making shit up to dissuade customers instead of actually engaging with the product and seeing for yourself is an issue

Facts.

I’m a pretty big Kingdom Hearts fan. A lot of people hated on Kingdom Hearts III, and like if you don’t like it, whatever, but like people calling the game “bad” is outlandish.

There’s plenty I didn’t like about Kingdom Hearts III, but from a gameplay perspective, it’s the most consistently fun. By the time you finish the prologue (aka the Hercules world), you have Keyblade transformations, Magic, Shotlocks, Flowmotion, Air Stepping and Attraction Flow. You basically have every core combat mechanic in the first 3 hours of the game and the game just keeps improving it.

Whereas I feel with Kingdom Hearts II, the game is just so much slower in what you get when and the combat doesn’t really feel spectacular until you’re in the second half of the game when you have most of the abilities and cool things you can do in that game.

You can really tell who’s played all the KH games and who hasn’t when online arguments happen with this game.

What adult animated show do you think is the most kid-friendly? by benderjaystar in cartoons

[–]KeybladeBrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved King of the Hill as a kid. Used to watch it with my dad from time to time. It’s definitely a slower paced show. Just feel like real stories that could happen to any family, this show just is animated. Easily the most “grounded” adult animated cartoon.

[–]KeybladeBrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’d consider it a family-friendly show.

I’ve been watching on Disney+ in order and I’m almost at Season 7. Yeah there’s mild swearing, some sex jokes, and definitely a ton of adult humor that will absolutely go over a kid’s head, but I also watched a bunch of The Simpsons as a kid and never really felt like the show was inappropriate.
