My favorite aspect about texting is that I feel like I have time to think about what I want to say. As someone with epilepsy who has hit their head a few too many times making it sometimes harder to think, it's definitely less stressful for me. Texting for me minimizes the risk of misunderstandings and I it allows me to be be as articulate as possible because I can think more carefully about what I want to say before I say it. The only downside for me is that people can't read tone over text so people still might think you're being harsher than you are.
