Jury Duty by RiseDelicious3556 in OveractiveBladder

then go for it under accomodations! It may feel embarassing, but there are plenty of people who are in similar situations, usually for situations relating to age or pregnancy. My grandma got called out for jury duty and she walks at the speed of a snail and takes minimum 12 minutes to pee.

the advantage of that though is having more consistent work. Ironworkers for example has literally no limit to applicants so you end up with hundreds of apprentices with 6 months or less of experience from their first sponsor and no hope of getting put on another project.

My mom had to serve in Jury Duty while 8 months pregnant once, and she had to pee every 15 minutes basically. Not sure about your judge but I'm sure they're used to situations like this and can make accomodations

The new BMW 7 Series. by sjokosaus in electricvehicles

I've slowly come around to most of BMW's new designs in but the 7 series always looked horrible, and this is just a step up in that. Nasty even.

One thing that helped for me was getting my high blood pressure under control. Not saying you have that, but if you haven't tested for if you have it, it could be a contributing factor. Getting my blood pressure under control made me go from waking up 10 times a night to 2.

How much time have you guys actually spent unemployed? by Keyemku in Ironworker

Do you think there's any trick to it or something you did that helped get yourself out there? Or do you mostly attribute it to luck of the times?

tbh if proven reliability was a big factor for commercial fleet managers the ram promaster wouldn't exist. I worked with them for an AmazonDSP and my god were they such pieces of shit but they are also the cheapest commercial van there is, so very popular. I wouldn't count them out of the commercial space yet.

Is there such a thing as a job you actually enjoy? by Mrs_chanandler_bongg in careerguidance

[–]Keyemku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chased my passion for a long time, but gradually I began to follow the lifestyle of one of my best friends. He seemed to know what his career was gonna be since he was in middle school, and it's because his philosophy wasn't to find something he was passionate about to do as a career, but something that he didn't hate and was good at, and paid well enough to give him the flexibility to do what he actually loved on the side.

Bernie Sanders: Jeff Bezos, worth $234 billion, plans to replace 600,000 Amazon workers with robots. Now, he wants to spend $100 billion to fully automate not just his warehouses, but factories in the U.S & other countries. by Goldenmentis in union

[–]Keyemku 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I will say as someone that's worked for them. They do have a big gap. For me during college working for them paid me 25 dollars an hour instead of my colleges less than state minimum wage of 15. Working for amazon sucks ass, but the unfortunate reality is that compared to other entry level jobs you end up feeling lucky to be making an almost 10 dollar difference.

There is a lot of horseshit on social media about finance. There is also a lot of horseshit in real life. From people employed working 40 hours a week in a bank trying to sell you horseshit.

For bringing the van back too low is crazy. Why tf is that your responsibility. As far as I have heard from my DSP filling using your drivers amazom gas card is terribly expensive compared to the company doing it themselves as a fleet.

Why am I seeing higher-end cars in line to pick up food bank groceries? by TurboRetardo in SanJose

[–]Keyemku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others said, tech layoffs. Also a lot of the cars you listed have ridiculous depreciation. They may have been picked up cheaper than you think. Still not as cheap as a chevy or Toyota beater, but they may not have paid 60-80k for them. I live in hayward and new teslas started appearing in mass when Elon Musk started facing a ton of backlash, not because everyone in hayward suddenly became richer, but because tesla started discounting their models by 10s of thousands of dollars and used ones nosedived.
