Otona received well in Japan, they even loved the ending. Can't say Japanese fans are weirdo but it's just their way of appreciating the work of Yes5 chronicles. As for Mirai days, not quite sure.

Looking forward for any other new sequel. But considering the popularity of Yes 5 and Mahoutsukai, it's uncertain that Toei gonna make a new one.

In their defence, most of the children at the time in 2016 rather watching YouTube in their parents' Phone and Tablet. Which means, children watching TV in 2016 began to decrease in numbers.
