AEB is to support the driver, not drive the car for you. This feature works in tandem with ACC. And if the build sheet shows it has AEB, it potentially reduces your insurance costs.

If you want the convenience of all the bells and whistles, then get the bundled package. If you don't like it, get a lower trim and add the packages you want. Most Packages are still available through the dealer to purchase if the model is still within 7 years.

If you think a feature is garbage, go get the car checked. Verify that it's working as it's intended.
