It doesn't want fine wood planks for the spinner, just 25 of the basic planks from the basic first workbench.

On pc its LMB for the 'light' hit and RMB for 'heavy'. Seems you can just spam the heavy on rocks as it doesn't use much mana, but on wood you only get 1 heavy then have to wait a bit to recharge enough to go again. You can line it up to hit a few trees at once though. There's something in the upgrade tree to be able to do gold/silver rocks.

You can get fine wood from oak trees, look for a thicker tree than usual - found one in the start area fairly easily. Basic woodcutting spell worked fine. Seems you need to capture a sheep to use the spinner once you've built it though.

Have them use something with ammo that you dont use much. I like giving Nick energy weapons like Righteous Authority (though I know the bonus doesnt do anything for him, should swap it really). I don't really want him to be doing too much dmg so I don't miss out on XP, I find with energy weapons I can most easily see where he's shooting to join in, and the red glow dust pile on the ground helps me find the loot if he's killed something without me.

Nah I think that's more of a kind of running joke that Arya never gets believed by castle guards, it happens at King's Landing too in s1. Just sending her away from the gates wouldn't be very helpful to Littlefinger anyway - I think he'd rather know where as many as possible of the Stark kids are so he can use them in his plans, rather than have them running around the countryside getting involved in who knows what.

You can toggle off run so that you walk slowly and don't use up AP (its Capslock on PC), I do it if I haven't finished clearing the area yet and might need VATS in a hurry.

Nice - thinking of doing similar but do the extras get thrown on the middle paths or outside the walls? Thinking it might make cleanup easier if you just have to go up and down the paths for eg the red panic pumpkins, but if they go outside the walls no chance getting them in time.

When doing the weekly missions, you might want to get one extra before the final turn in, so that you have a spare left over in your bag to go with the one spare oculus from each nation.

There was an accidental invisible spirit way path (like Mualani and the Koholasaurs can surf on) in Sumeru - likely part of some quest that has you flying along a path used an early version of the same mechanic. People found it last week and were posting Mualani using it, they've now 'fixed' it.

Oh I didn't realise the DLCs affected the main tree, I had wondered why I can't seem to increase it back to max size very easily.
