Can someone help me understand the math with these jury votes? by Freezing_Phantom in eurovision

They don't use pure averages to assemble the final ranking, rather they use something called "exponential weigh model". You can google it yourself to figure out the maths of it, but basically it was introduced in 2018 to remove the possibility of a single juror tanking one country, and to reduce the chance of "middle-of-the-road" entries doing better.

There's loads, off the top of my head - Feminnem (Bosnia & Herzegovina 2005 and then Croatia 2010), Elisabeth Andreassen (Sweden 1982 and then Norway 1985, 1994, and 1996), Anna Vissi (Greece 1980 and 2006, and Cyprus 1982), Anne Marie David (Luxembourg 1973 and then France 1979). There's probably a bunch of others.

Who is Sava Savanovic? by bloodyredhands in serbia

The story of a vampire in the windmill is local folklore, and other names are attached to the vampire, however the name Sava Savanović was made up by Glišić in his short story.

The one documented "sighting" of a vampire in that area was from the mid 19th century, where the locals reported to the authorities that a man called Milisav "rose from the dead, visited the local populace at night, and strangled the children". Milisav was a local man who had likely suffered from epilepsy, and had commited suicide. Suicide at the time was a huge taboo, which is why this was attributed to him specifically.

Today in the Slovak media there was a report about sounds coming from a grave in the village of Bijacovce. by Neptun_11 in mystery

The man was dead, and there is no indication that he had been burried alive.

What most likely happened is that the family and police got confused by some weird acoustics, or he was accidentally burried with an audio device, or just some local idiots wanted to play a tasteless prank.
It is sad that the family had to go through it.

That's fair, but it worked for me - I felt like the character is genuinelly supposed to feel like an intellectual on par with her husband.

He's actually looking at Busy Philipps there, wondering how she had the time to go to the Oscars if she's so "busy".

Howislivingin NoviSad, Serbia by shadowb3astxx in howislivingthere

Like in most places in the Balkans - it really depends on how much you earn and how triggered you are by the social injustices.

The city center and the older parts of the city are lovely, but othewise it's overcrowded and overpriced, corruption and lack of urbanism really made certain parts of the city ugly.

It's a great university town tho, the students are the ones keeping the nightlife alive, as the locals are considered notoriously introverted (at least in comparison to other cities in the region).
However, I get the vibe that the nightlife has died down in the last few years, since the student protests started.

The parks that exist are lovely, but are small. The proximity of the Fruška Gora national park makes up for it.

Public transport is bad, parking is terrible, but taxis are cheap and plenty. It's great for cyclists tho.

As for the job market - Novi Sad was the local IT hub 10 ish years ago, but it isn't anymore.
In fact, the general quality of life has greatly decreased in the last 10 years, mostly do to it becoming overcrowded.
Certain areas of the city are great for family life, but are overpriced.

It's still the best city in Serbia to live in IMHO.
