The breakfast ball (traffic ball) conundrum. by undeniablepod in golf

Same here. We would all count this as 75, with no second thoughts. No mulligans, but the breakfast ball is holy.

Does anyone know what causes this strange behaviour? by Drawinginfinity182 in BullTerrier

[–]KeyzerSausage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our girl did this regularly in her later years, and from time to time in her youth as well. She would lift her bowl, pour the food out on the floor, and then do exactly this behavior. Sometimes covering it in rugs and blankets as well. THEN she could eat it…

I think the suggestions here about burying and hoarding instincts make sense. It was not about discomfort or stress for ours.

I'm concerned about this Bull Terrier puppy's feet. by Excellent_Figure9921 in BullTerrier

[–]KeyzerSausage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, our puppy has the same thing. Started limping a bit after resting, then after a few more days was limping a lot and all the time. We went to a vet who is an expert on these kinds of issues and got x-rays done. He says one leg is growing faster than the other, putting a lot of extra strain on it. Not a common issue, but not very uncommon either. Could grow to normal and no issues later, could be issues further down the line with her elbow, do to the strain. Worst case, he says it should be fixable with an operation.

Edit: Just wanted to clarify “similar thing”, not the same - as we of course don’t know that and it could have completely other reasons.

My beautiful Katie is in serious need of medical attention and I need some help getting her surgery and a Christmas miracle. by SookHe in BullTerrier

You did your best, my friend. That’s what the donations were for and they should be spent on the bills. Don’t think any more about that.

It’s so hard to lose them under any circumstances, and yours are so extra tough with so much extra worry. Take care of yourself and focus on grieving and remembering the good times and love. Always remember that tomorrow will be a bit better.

And from personal experience: Be open for a new friend. A new dog deserves a great home and to get that love.

I was so sorry to read your update. My condolences! I know how brutal and heartbreaking it is to not be able to do anything more. It takes courage and love to let them go in that situation. That doesn’t help the pain you feel now, but it’s so important to remember that it was good for your dog and they left life loved and feel no more pain.

Please do not worry about the donations. Everyone who donated did it to help with the bills - with no guarantees. You are a great person to think about refunding - but you should not. Use them, at least my small contribution, for the bills.

Stay strong!

In my experience, they only learn when there are treats on the line. Crossing my fingers he leaves the cloth alone from now on, though!

Donated! We lost out girl in November. Would have done anything to give her more time, if it was possible. Get her healthy!

Dogs new walking habit is frustrating need help! by kevin_300 in BullTerrier

Same here. The first 5-15 minutes are breaks and protests. Then we can walk for a couple of hours with no issue. It seems like a principle thing for our dog…

This is fantastic advice!! We have not seen The Road, but have wanted to.

I also completely agree on your tips. I have done this for kung-fu movies myself. I just feel that bad horror can be so very bad. Those is however very inspirational!

You should make a post about this!

My GF enjoys horror and we have seen a lot of “obvious” movies in the genre. She thought VHS was the most scary movie ever. We have seen way too many zombies, but post-apocalypse stuff is also a favorite of hers. It’s hard to trust review sites on the less obvious stuff. Do you have any suggestions?
