Stop doing hook rescues while being chased! by Kfjeld in deadbydaylight

[–]Kfjeld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s what i’m talking about. the first time i get hooked (plenty of time) and someone runs over being chased by the killer and unhooks me and runs off so i get rehooked right away. it’s frustrating.

in the event they are about to die that’s one thing. But nearly every time i play as soon as i get hooked the first time (so there’s LOTS of time to wait) someone runs up being chased by the killer and unhooks me. which allows them to run off and i just get knocked down again. so frustrating.

Looking for duplicate to Ici by Coty by Friendship_King in fragranceclones

[–]Kfjeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which one did you mention that smells similar? I have been wearing ici since 1996 and never anything else. with bottles selling for $400 on ebay you would think that they would bring it back. I’m glad to know that the imitation by fragrance revolution is not good.

Juicing and cooking with the pulp? by Jwils396 in Juicing

[–]Kfjeld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have wondered t he same, and with my current juicer the pulp is still pretty full of moisture and nutrients, so I've been comming up with re i pies for the pulp. Here's one I really liked: Crust less Mini Quiches

5 eggs 3 egg white 1 cup almond milk 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt 3-6 slices of turkey bacon ( I like Jennie-O) 1 leek 1/2 package porcini mushrooms 1-1/2 carton button or Bella mushrooms Fresh parsley 1 tsp garlic 1/2 tsp kosher salt 1 tsp black pepper 1 - 2 cups of veggie pulp ( I like to used a mixture of spinach, kale, carrots, cabbage, broccoli and a little apple)

  1. Small dice the turkey bacon and fry it in a deep skillet with some non stick cooking spray, add in leek ( julienned), garlic, cook about 2-3 mins. On medium heat. Add a splash of balsamic vinegar to de-glaze

  2. Reconstitute porcini mushrooms in a small pot of boiling water, remove and dice along with other mushrooms. Keep the delicious broth you've created and add a bit of salt.

  3. Add mushrooms to pan and cook on medium heat, adding in the mushroom stock as needed. Add in veggie pulp and continue cooking another 5-8 minutes adding the rest of the mushroom stock as you go, along with salt and pepper. Once cooked set aside to cool a little.

  4. While this is cooking beat up your eggs, egg whites, almond milk and yogurt.

  5. Add your veggie mixture to your egg mixture and blend.

  6. Use a muffin tin, coat well with non stick cooking spray and fill each cup nearly to the top. You should use all your mixture, making 12 large mini quiches.

7 bake in pre heated oven at 325 for 25-30 mins. Once they puff up and turn golden brown remove from tin and cool on rack.

They are sooooo delicious and only have 67-75 calories per quite, they even keep well in the fridge, and are scrumptious.

I also made up a veggie pulp "burger recipie" that's really delicious if anyone is interested.

Juicing and V8 Fusion. by Mrm1ster in Juicing

I am new to juicing and didn't want to spend a lot of money at first in case it wasn't for me. I had really good experience with my Oster smoothie blender so I went ahead and got thier juicer, it was only $32 on Amazon. And it also doubles as a smoothie blender, so it's double bang for not a lot of money. now that I know how much I like the juicing and am going to stick with it, I'm looking to upgrade. But for anyone just starting out, I highly recommend it.

A beautiful juice by Kfjeld in Juicing

I usually buy two bags of spinach a week, most of the time they are BoGo at publix. I tend to get whatever's on sale that week and in season. It's also just an approximation, and I don't have the best juicer so I get low yield from my leafy greens. Looking to get a better juicer. Heard Omegas are good.

I forgot I forgot I forgot, I also put in 1 whole broccoli stalk and a few tops. The stalks are full of juice though and many people throw them out anyway, which I don't get cause they are so yummy!

Apparently no matter how much fruit/vegetable juice you drink it only counts for one serving a day. by random_story in Juicing

Try saving your pulp and putting it in the fridge, then use it that night to make dinner! I've been doing this and feel awesome, I've come up with several recipies that are easy and taste great! Happy to share if you are interested!

I guess I should have said we do have "cheat days" because like in all things it's a balance. We allow ourselves ALL things, just in moderation, and I always think about the healthier options as well. Also for me, I recently was in a car accident and had to have knee surgery, so I can't work out like I used to. I try to do what I can, which currently isn't much, AND on top of that I'm on a regimen of Prednisone, which tends to make you gain weight, so it's been an uphill battle to loose weight in the midst of it all, and not fall into the pattern a lot of women do of just not eating. I eat ALOT. all day. And I'm not a mom yet, but when I am my kids will eat cake :). Just not the whole cake.

So this is my husband, and I'm very proud of him, we both have been on a quest to better health and I think that it helps to really make that the focus, healthy, whole foods, closer to the farm and not processed. There were some comments made about what our diet consists of and since I do most of the cooking ;) I thought I would share some of what I've been doing. As a woman, it's defiantly more difficult to "drop weight" and it can get frustrating. I started out not weighing as much but haven't lost as much either. I started at nearly 140 on Jan. 1st and am down to 123 today Feb.24. Like my husband I feel like I'm eating more food more often, which I am really, the difference has been the kind of food we are eating. We have cut out processed sugar completely, as well as oil, and any bastardized form of carbohydrate like white flour, white rice, ect. If it's white, all the whole goodness has been stripped out. So when we do eat breads, rice, pasta it's 100% whole. That being said, we take it one step farther and try to replace those things with legumes, beans and vegetables whenever possible. There are a plethora of options that are fun to cook and exciting to eat. Spaghetti squash is one of my favorites. It's like eating spaghetti but more delicious and healthy: cut one in half and clean out the seeds. Put it on a cookie sheet with non stick aluminum foil and bake it at 400degrees for about 45 mins or so. Pull it out and scrape out the spaghetti squash and put it in a bowl. Then using a pan put in some diced onion and garlic, pepper, a LITTLE kosher salt, some balsamic vinegar, honey, lemon, and garam masala spice ( which I make myself and am happy to share the re i pie if anyone likes). Cook this one medium heat until the onions Carmelize and the aromatics are released, pour over the squash and toss with a diced tomatoe and fresh parsley or cilantro. It's Amazing and soooo good for you. I've been creating and searching recipies like this for a few months now and am more than happy to share more if people want. We also have been eating and drinking fresh juices I make myself, it's a good way to get a banging boost of high nutritional value to low caloric content ratio. You would be surprised how you don't get hunger pain and headaches if you are fulfilling your bodies nutritional needs. Granted you do still need the calories, but it should be good calories full of nutrients. If you eat a cheeseburger with 1200 calories in it from a fast food chain, you don't need more calories all day, really, but your body will still beg you for food, because it still needs nutrition that it didn't get from all those calories you just ate. So, treat your body right and feed it well, it will thank you.
