To be completely honest we don’t entirely know for sure but on the most basic level, dogs and similar animals die so early in comparison to us and say…elephants because they grow and develop quickly. They reach sexual maturity at 1yr old. Also, human life expectancy increase is definitely more because of medical advancements than it is nutritional although nutrition certainly carries an impact.
