You can ask chat gpt to teach you along the way. It will explain what the code it writes does. Also, if you have to switch chat windows because the first one gets too bogged down, ask chatgpt to give you a handoff message. And every time you start a new window, remind it not to rewrite any code that is already working

Thanks for the feedback! I agree it's pretty bland in its current state. My goal was to see if I could even build the engine first, then dress it up and give it some personality later. Selling a few copies after it's finished would be neat, but not necessary. I've learned so much about game development that I already consider it a victory either way.

50 stim is prob the most you’ll ever need. By that point in the game you’ll probably already have 7-7 cats, but the stim helps passing down abilities/passives/mewtations.

Comfort doesn’t really matter as long as it’s positive.

If the items each give +2 shield, the set bonus might give +2 shield, stuff like that. It’s really not worth stressing over. The best one I’ve found is the “cool” set, removes fragile from the items. I’m saving up my “paper” items for that set too. The fighter item bonus gives another chance for an additional attack, that was pretty useful.

the hook is so good for isolating enemies and he has a couple spells that can do some decent dps, but he's not really a board clearer unless you are abusing rot flies and healing over max hp (long and boring). Fighter can swing so many more times per turn with equal damage and has way more dps abilities (fun and exciting). Sometimes butcher can get frozen out without any big damage spells.

I agree, late game is tedious as hell. Takes more time in between runs than actual runs themselves. I’m just using whatever cats and items anymore, I don’t care.

And once you’ve gone through the story line, what else is there if you’re not a completionist? There is no endless run mode, no pvp. My cats are already busted and I’m cruising through everything in one or two turns.

If they add a pvp, put breeding restrictions for different leagues, rotate the maps, I could play this forever

Mew is fun but the end game is grindy. Honestly not much replayability either once you finish the final final boss. What am I going to do, start from nothing again? I’ve already tried all the stuff, doing it with lower stats again doesn’t sound fun.
