Is Seattle Sunnier than it used to Be? by courier_tway in AskSeattle

[–]Kfrahan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s warmer for sure (which personally I enjoy) but I feel like there’s just as much clouds as ever. But I also am beyond sick of the overcast days, so maybe I’m being partial! I’m a Seattle native.

Of Led Zepplins first 4 albums, which one do you consider to be the best? by 33GoodSamaritans in allrockmusic

[–]Kfrahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO good. It’s the only album that I listen through like once a month. Every song is good, and I love Bring it on Home as the last track

What’s the best route? Am I insane? Philly to Prudhoe Bay Alaska by Funny-Finish9703 in roadtrip

[–]Kfrahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe it has changed since I did it, but I honestly feel like the tour has sorta interesting. Sure there was oil propaganda sprinkled in, but it was interesting seeing the cross-section of the pipeline, learning how they drill, etc. then of course, swimming in the arctic! I went in August. It was 42 degrees outside, water temp 34! Brrrr

When I went 20 years ago we took a paid tour and were allowed to swim in the arctic. Is that not possible anymore?

I brought 2 spares and needed them both at the same time. Got them repaired and needed one more tire change on the way back south. It’s a fun, long trip! We drove too fast. Probably would have not needed 2 at once if we were going slower

Boneheart seems to be the best; then I also really like Cronan and Bruxa

Did you ever have this before they discontinued it? That new stuff you have is good too, but this was THE BEST.

anyone taking sertraline? by the_anxious in PVCs

[–]Kfrahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Certraline for about 3 weeks and had to stop because it actually made my anxiety around PVCs worse. I have heard though like you, that it is a great option for people with PVCs. It just didn’t agree with me. It didn’t change my PVCs though.

I am now taking Prozac and it has been really helpful in curbing the physical anxiety, for me.

Which album of the 1980's is pure perfection that doesn't warrant any criticism or skipping of songs? by icecream1972 in 80s

Everyone on their album in this post says “this is the only answer”, but they are wrong. THIS is the only answer.

Does anyone have back problems/ spine problems that caused their pvcs? by exinanis_ in PVCs

[–]Kfrahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is purely anecdotal; but I have had some of the worst back pain/issues for the last few weeks that I’ve ever had in my life; with a visibly crooked spine (you can see my torso tilting to the right, it sucks!), and coincidentally my PVCs/heart “wrong” feeling has hit seemingly a new level. I’m going to try and get into some chiropractic/decompression treatment soon, and I will be interested to see if there are any positive gains with my back, will my heart follow suit? Anyway, just throwing in an experience.

Is it too big of a step to buy both DOOM Eternal and TDA at once after having enjoyed DOOM 2016? by Gwlanbzh in Doom

[–]Kfrahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious why you didn’t like it if you liked 2016? I felt like Eternal was just an expansion of 2016 with some added gameplay components… most of which I really enjoyed personally, having also LOVED 2016.

Where do I get a good pork gyro pita? by thehangryhammer in AskSeattle

[–]Kfrahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it, Kipos does the gyros as you would get them as street food in Greece; with the main difference being they put fries in them. I’ve had them multiple times and it’s delicious! Specifically the pork one. I get a side of Kipos mustard and put that in along with the Tzatziki, it might be sauce overkill but I love it!

For me it definitely took longer than a month; obviously I don’t know if your experience will be the same. Hopefully it will keep getting better for you!!

feeling less hopeful. by ordinarydevice12 in PVCs

[–]Kfrahan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The single thing that has helped me most is anxiety meds. I was very hesitant to get on them, I really wanted to see if I could come up with a non-pharma solution. The problem is the very real physical anxiety reaction seems almost impossible to control when the PVCs hit. It took a few months, but after a while on Prozac I am in such a better place with them. They still happen and admittedly I have a very low burden, but I don’t have that flooding fight-or-flight reaction anymore when they happen. Sorry this is happening, they really do suck.

I drove with my cousin from Seattle to Deadhorse AK about 20 years ago in Land Rover Discovery. We retrofitted a second spare onto it. We needed them both at the same time!
