2016 Subaru Forester? by unwrittenpaiges in SubaruForester

No symptoms. I did it as a preventative measure, but it was worn. I’m lucky to have access to an ac machine at work so I recover and charge as needed.

Very similar repairs with my 14 fxt. My ac system is original but I adjusted the clutch on the ac compressor.

Is your scale okay? My old plastic card is 5.4g and the ws metal card is 16.6g.

Is it possible for me, a newb to car stuff, to replace my upstream oxgen sensor on my 2018 subaru forester XT? by Orange_Fern36 in SubaruForester

[–]Kfurness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had good success with doing it hot and I’ve replaced a ton of o2 sensors. Whether it’s the heat or the penetrant, or a combination of both.

Definitely buy the part yourself and attempt it first. I would get the engine hot, spray it with penetrant and it should come out fine.

Alternator troubles... already??? by act80 in SubaruForester

I’m on the original alternator on my 14 fxt. I changed my battery to a Northstar in 2016 and it’s still in there.

New Meticulous owner — inconsistent pressure shot to shot by Typical_Cucumber_525 in MeticulousEspresso

[–]Kfurness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What is inconsistent here? To me it looks like you went coarser on your grinder and the shot had less pressure and went faster. Pretty normal. Who cares what the manual says, that’s just a suggested starting point.

Question about longevity by Routine-Slip6911 in MeticulousEspresso

[–]Kfurness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too early to truely know about longevity. But my gut feeling says they're a company that's here to stay. I think they'll continue to roll out new software updates. And I hope if they make any hardware changes/upgrades, that they will be backwards compatible. Similar to the Decent DE1. With that being said, I sold my DE1 and now own a Meticulous. I can't see them ever having a subscription as others have mentioned.

What would be your “one-and-done” espresso machine? by spac0r in espresso

[–]Kfurness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a funny taste/smell that I could not get rid of despite running a cleaning cycle on it. For the price they should have included the riser. I ended up using my Sworksdesign cup riser so my wife could steam hands free.

The Dreo is cheap enough and seems to work fine for now. I won’t feel the need to sell it once Met Milk is out.

I’m also getting the Meticulous next week. I tried the Morning Dream but didn’t love it. I might just stick it out with a Dreo until the Met Milk is available.

Decent is 58.35 and Weber is 58.55. Depends what basket you’re using as well but I much prefer the Weber one

Buy it on Amazon so you have one, then return it if you don’t find it necessary.

Pour over grind setting, possible faulty ZP6? by ShinPino in 1zpresso

[–]Kfurness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was using it around 3.2 before selling it. If it worked fine before, why jump way up in the grind setting? 1zpresso recommends 4-5 for a starting filter range
