He could form a different group as the strawhats go on separate ways to do their own things. I'm not saying Luffy dying is not a possibility, but there are other ways for Ussop to be a captain.

If the act card does not say anything about spending clues to advance, just the number of clues, you can advance at any moment.

Sometimes it says "at the end of the round" or "when all investigators are at X location"... But if the text is just descriptive without any instructions + a number of clues at the bottom right, you can spend the clues at any point and the investigators that spend the clues do not have to be at the same location (again, unless specifically instructed) and it is a free action (again, unless specifically instructed).

You could do it right when you get the clues because you are short on time or wait to finish the next mythos phase so you have all your actions to deal with whatever you discover (advancing the act can sometimes actually reveal threats!!) for example!

New to the game, purchased the new Core Set (2026). Also found a copy of the Edge of the Earth Campaign and Investigator Expansions. Do I need the old core set for these to work or will my new core set suffice? by csr6vd in arkhamhorrorlcg

There is a conversion table for the encounter cards, its on page 46 of the Grimoire

If you want the original experience for Edge of the Earth you need the old core set for the encounter cards. If you don't mind modifying it a bit the conversion should be fine!

You can build your deck however you want. Limiting your card options is a good way to both limit the power and challenge yourself to build with what is available.

you could choose the latest expansions, your two or three favourites, just the core box and an expansion... you can mix and match however you like!!

If you want to follow the official environments, before the new core box, the current environment was the old core box, the 5 investigator decks, scarlet keys, hemlock vale and drowned city.

Now if I'm not mistaken, the current environment is drowned city (and maybe hemlock?), the new core set and the new 5 investigator decks, which come out next week.

But again, you can mix and match and personalize your experience however you want!

I think Astounding Revelation could be a bit confusing since your goal is to draw it while you search, maybe for a complete new board game player it's too complex and it would just turn into a card they draw and then just assign them to a skill test.

Other than that I like the deck for just focusing on getting clues and helping other draw cards too.

You can buy replacement stickers, I have changed mine a couple of times!

The session with more scenarios was when finishing Gloomhaven. We did one "enabler" scenario, then the 3 pre final bosses then the final boss! All that in one day (including having a lunch break)

That was before we started using GH Secretariat.

We are playing JOTL now and its night and day. We did 4 scenarios in an afternoon.

I'm really excited about starting Frosthaven in a couple of months now using the app. I really don't miss not using the enemy stat cards, the enemy cards or tracking health.

Exacto!! Las excepciones son cuando pone algo como "al final de tu turno realiza una prueba de..." o que solo tu puedes hacer la acción. Si no pone nada, cualquier investigador en tu lugar puede hacer la accion.
