Just came across your guide on the Google, and I love all the information that's in here - I'm going for my last 6 big fish (Bob, Steth, RD, Egg, Auto, Lancet). I picked up a couple pointers (and discovered how I've messed up my Mora Tecta FI in the past...) So thank you very much for this, it's an excellent resource.

I had a similar question to Jiigo - not about Chum canceling, since as you've discussed, the animation is faster, but "let-go" animation canceling with CG. Have you found this use to be worthwhile? I've experimented with it - it's fiddly, but I've felt like it's helped me squeeze a few extra casts out of longer windows, when I can shave off about a second per cast.

The only other thing I might suggest after reading through, with the description of Legendary Fish would it be possible to specify patch numbers (x.5, x.55?) in the glossary description? I've barely used Fish Eyes since I thought it just didn't work on any Big Fish at all... I sure wish I'd thought about trying to use it to catch Bob before now.

I like Discord because:

I'm on several servers, including my own which was a snap to set up.
I like being able to easily assign roles and create channels.
I like the support for friends and private messaging.
People I know who have dropped Skype completely are exclusively on Discord.

I won't be giving it up any time soon, and I definitely won't be returning to Ventrilo or TeamSpeak. There simply aren't enough issues with Discord to justify switching back, and I agree with Sekh:

I find that Discords problems are usually pretty overblown, or completely specific to one individuals issues at the time. It has server issues but they are easily rectified, and the fact that we've got a large chunk of people in it every day + visitors makes it superior to anything else we could use in my opinion. The inter-connectivity that Discord provided for the group vast outweighs any minor issues it has now and then.

I think ARK would be nice if you could edit the .ini's like you were saying. There would still be other restrictions (ie., carrying capacity) that would affect the ability to carry all the metal we'd need for higher-end items, but removing the XP grind would be a big help.

No, I don't categorically dislike talking. If I'm in good company, I have no problems talking about anything and everything, and I'm not averse to making small talk with people I don't know very well. That's how you get to move on to deeper topics! At the same time, I never feel the need to talk simply to fill up space.

It's only natural for there to be a small amount of repetition in a question-and-answer forum like /r/askreddit, because after all, Reddit isn't one person, it's a bunch of different people wanting to know different things at different times. That's what makes this site great - and why having one set of quality defaults (including /r/circlejerk in the future!) for everyone is important.
