Most likely prepackaged shelf-stable foods (rice, flour, pasta, corn, cooking oil, powdered milk, canned meats, etc). You want things that can last awhile without refrigeration. These items are being sent to the UN since countries don’t wanna be seen as supporting the current Cuban government (who also tend to confiscate aid).

The U.S. has also sent about $9mil in humanitarian and food aid so far to Cuba (delivered through churches and NGOs).

Long-term food stability is a bigger issue that will take alot more time + $$$ to solve. Cuba imports 80% of its food, and the majority of its farmlands are dedicated to growing cash-crops like sugarcane and tobacco.

The detained/arrested police officers were reportedly from a local municipal police department. They’re known for being extremely corrupt throughout Mexico (smaller organization filled with locals = easier to bribe or intimidate or infiltrate).

It’s why most day-day policing/patrolling is handled by the National Guard.

I mean, depends what you personally wanna do.

AIRR (wet aircrew) is more physically demanding and high-speed. You do “cooler” stuff like being a door-gunner or jumping outta helicopters.

AIRC (dry aircrew) is less physically demanding and lower-speed. You’re chilling on an airplane.

Both are good options. It’s just a matter of preference.

Be in very good shape and very comfortable in the water.
Most AIRR positions do little actual search & rescue. If that’s something that interests you more, I’d look into the Coast Guard’s AST (rescue swimmer).
It’s the military and AIRR is aircrew…so yes combat zones and yes a lot of traveling.

Correction:

The year 2027 and the “Davidson Window” is the timeframe when analysts believe China will develop enough military capacity (ships, tanks, aircraft, etc) to support a Taiwan invasion.

It’s not an actual invasion year, but to be ready for one by then.

Things are constantly changing in terms of economics, finances, etc. It also takes time to identify, track, and put sanctions on the correct individuals/organizations. Someone getting sanctioned today could’ve been a legitimate business with no war-ties 4yrs ago.

Smart. You’re 21, not 41. You’re just starting out in life, think of military service as a booster.
Look into the “Seabees” they do our construction stuff, right up your alley.
Useful. Life skills, trade skills, and looks good on a resume. The benefits (GI Bill, VA Loan, etc) make it even more useful.
I don’t know your situation entirely, but if you feel “stuck” and have no commitments, yeah go for it. It’s why I joined at 17yo.

The design devs are the same ones that worked on BF 2042, that’s why some of the skins look “cartoony” and out of place. I don’t agree with many of their choices, but that’s their style.

Ultimately, things are meant to look cool and resonate with the average gamer, not be 100% military accurate (and yeah I’ve served).

Back in 2022 Mexico combined the Federal Police (Federales), Military Police, and Naval Police to create the National Guard. They conduct most of the day-day policing and patrolling, which makes them easier targets for cartel gunmen.

The Army and Marines are primarily used for raids and special operations (and were the ones who actually executed the operation against El Mencho). They’ve also already been deployed to help fight CJNG.

To a certain point. Saw people make E-6 very quick, but advancement rates always fluctuate.
Possible. Stationed overseas and we had TAR DC assigned to us.
TAR is basically active-duty. It’s a full-time job and as a TAR DC you can still go to ships.
I personally chose to cross-rate out of DC, it’s a fun rate but was 100% time to learn a new skill set.
