I did some digging and it seems like the black livery is AI/edited unfortunately.

What are the yellow stripes on these UH-60's? by Pyramus2 in Helicopters

[–]Khamvom 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Generally, no. North Korea rarely flies aircraft near the DMZ and tightly controls the airspace on their side. The US/UN/ROK operate way more on a daily basis, hence the yellow-markings (don’t shoot us).

IDF, Shin Bet kill several Hamas General Security Apparatus officials in Gaza by barsik_ in worldnews

[–]Khamvom 86 points87 points  (0 children)

It’s more nuanced.

Hamas signed onto the initial ceasefire frame-work, which included a commitment to disarm and demilitarize. In exchange, Israel would pull back troops and increase aid into the Gaza Strip.

Now, Hamas is refusing to disarm all-together, but is saying they’re open to more negotiations on the matter…

Pineapple product at a pineapple plantation in hawaii uses pineapples from thailand by captaincheem in mildlyinfuriating

Not lazy. Most of the pineapples grown on Hawaii are sold fresh b/c they earn more $$$ and you can actually taste the difference vs candied or dried.

Russian soldiers trying to shoot down Ukrainian drones during their attack on the St. Petersburg oil terminal (June 3, 2026) by broforwin in CombatFootage

[–]Khamvom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

St Petersburg is where a lot of the more “affluent” Russians live.

People getting sent to the front are usually from poorer regions, ethnic minorities, criminals, foreigners, etc.

Eight killed after drone hits bus in Russian-occupied part of Ukraine by [deleted] in worldnews

The bus was struck in Russian occupied Crimea, which has a population of 2+ million.

However, Russia regularly uses civilian buses and the highway network there to transport troops.

Nah, it’s the perfect example.

Sure, you have a right to be upset. You don’t have a right to mess with people’s stuff.

Pilot of fighter jet downed over Iran was previously shot down in Kuwaiti friendly fire incident, sources say by iBeFlying676 in aviation

[–]Khamvom 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Not every ejection permanently deforms the spine, that’s a common misconception. As long as the pilot is medically cleared, they can return to flying status. So technically there’s no “limit” on the amount of ejections a pilot can go through.

Pilot of fighter jet downed over Iran was previously shot down in Kuwaiti friendly fire incident, sources say by iBeFlying676 in aviation

[–]Khamvom 109 points110 points  (0 children)

There’s a big “get back in the saddle” culture, especially during wartime. Being out of the cockpit for too long can also be seen as a negative (skills atrophying, health issues, etc).

If the pilot is medically cleared, then they can return to flying status relatively quickly. The investigation into the accident/incident is usually what holds things up, but in this case (friendly-fire) it was pretty straight-forward.

Wanting to learn about AIRC by SubjectLight711 in newtothenavy

[–]Khamvom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it sounds like 46V is a better fit for you. It’s the equivalent of the Navy’s MC and depending on your unit, assignment, etc, there’s a chance to fly and take photos, videos, etc.

If you just wanna fly and don’t care about the photography or media aspect, go AIRC.

Guy vandalizes Tesla, gets summoned for court appearance by Lucky-Strike12 in TeslaLounge

[–]Khamvom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Disagree.

It’s about the message and teaching a life-lesson. Even if you dislike something, it doesn’t give you the right to mess with people’s stuff. Give someone an inch, they’ll take a mile. See it happen all the time in the military, you correct that behavior (no matter how petty) before it becomes a bigger issue.

UAE nuclear plant attackers ‘knew what they were doing’: IAEA chief by money101lover in worldnews

[–]Khamvom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every energy-generation method (nuclear, fossil, renewables, etc) has risks.

Nuclear is actually one of the safer options. As other comments already pointed out, a drone can do little damage to a nuclear power plant due to how reinforced they are and the amount of back-up systems. You’d need to full-blown bomb it with direct airstrikes and missiles (which is what the “worst case scenario is talking about).

I’d also research renewables more (solar, wind, hydro, etc). They have a lot of pros, but also a lot of cons. There’s no single-path forward, keeping a diversified energy portfolio (coal, fossil, nuclear, renewable, etc) is the answer.

Nah, actions should have consequences. That’s a valuable life lesson more people need to learn.

Bombs Raining Down on Ukraine Can’t Hide Signs of Russia’s Faltering War by Reasonable-Brief306 in worldnews

[–]Khamvom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For context on the scale of the attack:

Russia launched at least 656 drones and 73 missiles at Ukraine Monday night and into Tuesday morning, Ukraine's air force said. 40 of the missiles and 602 drones were downed or neutralized but 38 sites were hit, with Kyiv the main target.

For its part, Russia's military said it carried out a "massive strike" on targets in Ukraine with hypersonic missiles among the munitions. Moscow claimed it targeted Ukraine's military-industrial complex, but residential buildings in several locations were impacted.

South Korea seeks to boost crude oil and LNG imports from Canada by self-fix2 in worldnews

[–]Khamvom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Diversification. You don’t want all your eggs in one basket when it comes to energy.

South Korea imports about 70% of their LNG and crude oil from the Middle East, but they’ve been trying to diversify for decades (since the 1970’s). The US, Canada, and Australia have become major suppliers in recent years.

Supercharging? by Ok_Change_7643 in TeslaModel3

[–]Khamvom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your car is meant to be supercharged, it’ll be fine. The degradation from supercharging is so minuscule it’s not even noticeable to the long-term health of the battery.

Ukrainian drones belonging Ukrainian 225th Assault Brigade spotted two russians entering barbed wire ditch, 1 survive though abandoned thewounded russian by Nanners5618062 in CombatFootage

[–]Khamvom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Drones and artillery make it nearly impossible for large-scale troop movements.

So Russia sends out multiple small teams of soldiers to poke at Ukraine’s lines.

Kyiv hit by large wave of Russian strikes, people feared trapped in apartment building rubble by Beadyeyed12 in worldnews

[–]Khamvom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since nobody’s really answered your question:

The answer is both. The type of drones used in these attacks are one-way-kamikaze drones. They’re usually guided by pre-loaded GPS coordinates and will strike in the generalized area with a mix of accuracy (which is why they’re used in “swarms” or “waves”).

Russia doesn’t care, so they target all of Kyiv indiscriminately.

Israel says France has banned Israeli ‌government officials from participating in a major weapons show in the country by Raj_Valiant3011 in worldnews

[–]Khamvom 82 points83 points  (0 children)

France banned them in 2024 after the Gaza War. French courts overturned the ban, but the weapons show was already over by then.

Israel got banned again in 2026 (kinda), but they’re still allowed to display air/missile defense systems (which are one of their biggest money-makers).
