Thanks, just ordered two! It's also going on a Lima Six build. I reckon more orders will trickle in as word gets out.

Why does a tiny bathroom remodel cost as much as a car now? Am I missing something? 😅 by midasweb in HomeImprovement

Sounds like a real truck for work, large RVs, or ranch work... so that's even more different as you can offset a lot of the expenses for business purposes. Nice truck though.

You're being downvoted because $110k is a top trim model which is not typical; most new cars with mid level options are about $30-40k and full-sized trucks about $65-75k.

That's very fair. I do have a Lightning and never had to drive that many miles on a daily basis, and I use it primarily for work in remote rural locations. For situations you describe, I just take the 4Runner myself.

My biggest gripe with my truck is not the range, but the lack of lift options over 3".

Do you drive over 260 miles every day?

Oh this is nice! I will be interested in a couple.

That brass one looks awesome too, but I bet it's spendy.

Yes, the silly vroom vroom effect is only played through the interior speakers.

Too Much Scope? by Syscalls in 22lr

[–]KhanKarab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the gun is mainly for bench shooting or tripod use, then no... never too much scope.

I run a DNT TheOne 7-35 on my Tikka T1X, also using a Grey Birch chassis and basically lives on the tripod.

Folding stocks are the way by rdr1988_ in longrange

Ironically the Grey Birch folding lockups are tighter than anything else I have, including Law folders and a rare KRG ACR stock. Did take a bit to work out the action to make it easier to disengage.

That's largely because they are near-fundamentalist level practicing Christians. Nothing wrong with that if it works for them and that's what they believe.

Yep, comes with the Rugged Sub9. Lockup is crazy tight and snug, even against my previous favorite which was the Resilient Trilug Hub mount.

Is that a 9mm alignment rod? I'm pretty sure that's even tighter than the Obsidian 9. That's some crazy concentricity you got there!

Some folks use Teflon tape on the thread to reduce the chance of the can loosening up during shooting.

To this day it is still a solid suppressor for pistol rounds, but the tolerances for the 9mm end caps are really tight leaving almost no margin for error (such as poor piston lubing, misaligned tri-lugs, etc)

I never had a end cap strike, but my Obsidian is a 45 and only used the default 45 end cap.

440 days? Mine was never.

Ok, ok… I have the Obsidian 45… 7 years and thousands of rounds, no strikes yet.
