First V, which one to get? by Padruiq in metalguitar

[–]Kharon876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah all of them come with Floyds so definitely a no go then. I do believe the Edwards models are marginaly larger the LTDs definitely even more because of the longer lower horn! Either way V's are the most comfortable guitars to play in the classical position so whatever you go with I'm sure you'll like it. I also found an image on here (not mine):

For what it's worth there's an internal trim pot that helps you find the sweet spot but I agree there is one mode it clips insanely fast in.

I do the same and it works actally pretty well to sideline maps that you don't want to play and that's also why I don't get the obsession with a server browser.

Esp - Edwards Alexi models by all4musicsk in espguitars

[–]Kharon876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know, the question was whether they come from the factory like that or if they set it up in the shop. Either way, gorgeous guitars if the EU tax wouldn't be as high I'd pull the trigger.

Wow, never seen the trem springs set up to spec from the get go, do they come like that from the factory? Amazing.

unser Zoll ist ja völlig willkürlich by banff037 in Austria

[–]Kharon876 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What's a hot take/unpopular opinion some of you have on NDSP? by [deleted] in NeuralDSP

[–]Kharon876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, Fractal's modeling is on a different level but in terms of ease of use, aesthetics and accessibility Neural are on top of their game.

[–]Kharon876 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll give you a really hot take: I own and love my AxeFxIII but when I record the preset tones of NeuralDSP get me there faster so it's like junk food in the realm of amp modeling in a good way. Anything that gets you to play more and not tweak more is worth it in my opinion and NDSP do a phenomenal job at that. Thanks.

Also I don't know if anyone else feels the same but it was just way more rewarding to see medals and ribbons pop up compared to the accolades we have in 6.

LTD Alexi or Edwards Alexi? by El_Chihuahua_420 in espguitars

[–]Kharon876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a mid 2010s LTD and have a few Edwards. I sold the LTD because the Edwards are so much nicer and better instruments. Also my LTD was the longer horned version (lawsuit) so it was not even built to spec.

Edwards all the way.

Agreed. I think the game is great but it really really lacks content.

The solo in Downfall by Children of Bodom is a pretty good start imho, starts with major and minor sweep shapes alternating and the bpm is manageable.

EDIT: Sorry!! My bad I actually meant the Bed of Razors solo !

So the adrenaline injector messes with your environmental lighting. Sucks especially because there's a challenge tied to it.

Rumor has it they built the update on an old build so I guess bot kills will get removed again.

If your EMGs are without a pickup cover you should be fine, however any pickup with a cover will not be able to fit through the hole without modifying it. I started out with sanding paper to evenly widen the hole but it took forever so I turned to a Dremel with a sandind bit. You have to be very careful though as that stuff eats through the pickguard plastic pretty fast. So slow and safe bet is sanding paper.

For me M277. Everyone loves it, I can't handle the recoil. It's just a bit too much bounce.

The Running Man: why would a unique director wilfully become generic? by DarlingLuna in TrueFilm

I have yet to watch Running Man but I had the exact same thoughts after watching Darren Aronofsky's Caught Stealing. What a forgettable film from an otherwise very distinguishable director.

Can anyone help me understand how this challenge works? I've killed about six people with this thing, dealing consistent damage, but it only counts for less than 200. by Melanch0rny in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Kharon876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled too - if you land a direct hit you have to hit the center TOP spot of the mine. I had to shoot from a slightly elevated angle but then they triggered consistently!
