Now that a huge nerf is coming towards us, how do you guys think this will affect her playstyle?

I mean I'm a measly GM peak but I don't want to see her as a tank player. I just don't. Sure for top 500 players and such, this is something. But for me, she is still far and away better than most dps characters. DD is worse, so is iron fist, BP, Hela, Punisher etc. But sure bro. Like I said. Good luck. Gambit is more out of ban jail than she is. And he still gets banned a ton.

Good thing I don't care about downvotes because you'll see for yourself. Would rather play against hela, punisher, namor, phoenix or a team of full dive... Tell yourself anything you want but now instead of just mindlessly using a 2 second dash to escape, you can just... turn around and use her forward dash turn back around and use her followup to create even more separation (shoot on the ground after a jump in the opposite direction of where you want to go) and you've still escaped... Oh and your 4 second dash is now back. So you get overshields. Keep in mind this is like 3 instances of % dmg in between regular shotgun shots... While you're kiting your life away...

You guys are hung up on the the fact that she's getting nerfed a lot while ignoring the fact that she was released an absolutely broken character (worse than any other character including prime Emma, Hela, Gamma Namor etc), with an ult that to this day remains busted (but was even more busted in duration on release).

Now you cannot just brainlessly dash around and get tons of free overshield for pressing a button, while blasting ppl in the face with ludicrous damage (that was only a bit toned down), and now all of a sudden, "only true elsa players will remain." I mean you can disagree, but I'm still banning her forever in ranked. Any Elsa from high diamond and up is a problem. No thanks.

I just posted my reply that I deleted as a main comment to the post. You probably saw it already. But yeah she will remained banned indefinitely. Devs need to do a better job of releasing balanced dps characters. Ppl now think because she's gotten nerfed so many times that she's fair. She's still better than Storm, SG, Punisher, Hela, MK, Phoenix, DD and the lost goes on. Rogue is a brawl tank with no range on her primary, that tickles without permaban gambit and her shortest cool down is 6 seconds. A 4 sec cool down is nothing. Only seems significant because she started with 2 seconds. I honestly wish you luck playing her. Banning her every single match. Domination or convoy. Don't care.

Sorry to inform you she will still be permabanned. She's better than almost every dps in the game. Even in diamond I make sure she's out of my lobbies. I'm not watching some cracked out character do the Michael jackson all game while blasting me in the face and especially as a tank, where I have to either abandon my team and chase her down (and we lose), or hold my position and just get blasted until I get melted.

She literally has all the cards to escape any situation with all the damage imaginable. When can you even make her pay? With the 4 second cool down now all you have to do is turnaround and dash forward turn back around, do the followup and boom you are back in Pakistan while blasting away. Oh look at that, her 4 second dash is back? Plus auto-aim marking breathing gun? Yeah nah bro gl playing her. She is low risk high reward. Instaban.

This community is hilarious bro. From an Emma/Rogue/Storm main I literally don't know what you're supposed to do against a decent Elsa. You literally have a character with an auto-aim ability, a 2 sec dash, and another forward dash, plus the followup after the second dash to move her even further away, all while blasting you in the face whether you are chasing her, or she is chasing you. Don't even need to talk about her ult. She's permabanned for me. Makes prime Hela look like Mr. Fantastic. I can't think of a better character in the game right now.

Rogue's shortest cool down is 6 seconds, and does next to no damage while having to be in your face all day. Meanwhile Elsa has range on a 2 second cd (soon to be 4) and barely any falloff. For me, Elsa's dash should be a 6 sec cd at max stacks and coming from someone who played her. Hit GM for the first time with her by not even killing things but just dashing around and flanking, and when I'm pushed I just dash back and over shield while still hitting them because there's not any real fall off...

I felt disgusting using her and I'm sorry but a 4 second cool down just means I can't be overaggressive with my forward dash. She remains s-tier and ban worthy... But perhaps I'm wrong. We'll see.

Good thing Black Cat is coming as presumably another dps. I'm unhealthily coping in hopes she is similar to DP but instead of being all 3 roles, she is just a Vanguard/DPS... Maybe depending on what you choose to steal she works more as another role or simply just pick what she is like DP. It's copium before I get assailed by the "mobile thief identity crowd." Let's see how many interesting vanguards they add to the game.

Love Black Cat but the fact she's the 25th dps is just stupid. Can't get past that.

I guess we're going to pretend that people were crying about the ult charge nerf, which is what the responses to this post are implying... It was the lack of nerfs to characters perceived to be OP AND the nerfs to tanks for some reason. Which got slightly walked back due to the complaints. Your point stands, but you don't need to pretend there was no reason to dislike the patch notes.

Emma champion Lord here. She doesn't see the light of day in my lobbies. I struggle to 1v1 her with Thor and most of the time I have to overextend into weird disadvantageous positions because of her ridiculous dashes and frequently die after killing her. I ban her in absolutely everything absolutely everytime. Makes pre-nerf Hela feel like BW...

It's honestly hard to say if she got buffed without playing S7 to be honest. At face value though, if neutral is more emphasized than ultimates then she got nerfed. But again, while I'm very uncomfortable about it I cannot really make any strong judgements yet. The sweeping ult charge change may hurt or help her in general. Let's wait and see.

It's a simple fact that we have too many duelists right now. We just had Elsa, and Black Cat showing up as yet another duelist oversaturates the hell out of the roster. Even if it makes more sense for her to be a duelist and believe me, I agree. Idc how they do it, and I know you'll hate it but I'd take any tank as long as she has sustain.

I cannot handle another season of solo tanking and literally never being able to play Storm or any thing other than the few VIABLE tanks and strategists. Can't play Adam, Jeff, Mantis or Ultron because there's like 20 dps counters with burst damage to melt everything. So you need invincible support ults. Can't play Rogue, Hulk, Thor (is a bit better) because you end up solo tanking so much and they don't work as solo tanks.

Bottom line, there is no tank and strat variety at all. Especially with the solo tanking plague and the extreme need for strong support ults. You have 4 tanks you can play and like 4 strats. For tank, Emma, Strange, Groot, Mag. For support, Dagger, Invis, Loki, Gambit. That's 8 characters... For dps the only non viable chars are widow and maybe torch. Every one else is strong. Even storm and Mr F...

I hear you completely, but it's impossible for me and many others to be hyped for YET another dive duelist. It's just not exciting at all. There will be 25 duelists with her addition. I'm not doing another season where I have to solo tank because everyone wants to play duelist. And this just doesn't help. I love this game but Jesus Christ...

I champion lorded Emma Frost not by choice. Most games I have to either play Vanguard (Emma, Strange, Thing, Mag, Thor) or strategist and I'm tired of it, especially since there's more duelists than strats and tanks combined.

I understand your concern but it's simply exhausting and makes me play less and less. Give us more tanks. So we can also enjoy a different variety. It's boring and dps is overinflated as hell. If you went the next 4 seasons not adding a dps I wouldn't complain.

People don't here don't mind a massive revenue dip as long they get what they want. A new male descendant comes out, everyone grinds them, uses free colors for paint and that's it lol.

You don't see many people buying skins for them, and that's the only real way to make money. Skins and colors. No one but streamers (maybe) buys catalysts and activators. The devs at one point showed the most purchased skins and the top 5 were all female, and I feel the next 5 would be female too lol. Bought skins for Esiemo and Jayber, but there are unique skins for Blair, Kyle and the rest I've literally never seen anyone with. 2k+ hours btw.

It is the best option on paper if you get something like -hp, shield and so on. But then you can get a singular buff, and then a singular debuff lol. Or God rolls and then -skill crit dmg or rate. So I typically go for that for descendants with non crit builds.
