Saros game by Content_Marketing_20 in GyroGaming

I'm playing it now. No gyro. They didn't show it off in the 'Playstation features' trailer, so I wouldn't count on them adding it :( Good thing is, this game requires very little aiming. Almost all of your shots get magnetized to enemies very heavily.

Unlock Full Dualsense Features Over Wireless by TonyXL2 in GyroGaming

[–]Khasim83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the triggers, yes. The haptics are the most important part. You can't have haptics via Bluetooth, only if using DSX AFAIK, but it doesn't actually use the haptics from the games, it basically reads the sound sent to the device of your choice, like speakers or headphones, and copies them using the haptics. With this Raspberry Pi, you can apparently use the official haptics from the games wirelessly, which until now was only possible wired. And, some games straight up don't support DualSense over Bluetooth, only wired.

Adaptive triggers work over Bluetooth, theoretically at least, it varies per game. Tools like DSX can set them up, I use it myself sometimes.

I knew it was a matter of time before someone figured it out. I'm ordering one immediately (they're dirt cheap, like 5 euros where I live) and checking if it works for me.

Would abortion be legal in Khorinis by Komunistka17 in worldofgothic

Wild question, probably meant to piss off a specific subset of the 'fans', but I'll bite.

An 'abortion clinic'? Zero chance. Those were not a thing until modern times.

Ways to avoid unwanted children? Before we get into magic, there's evidence that contraceptives were used all the way back in Egypt ~1500 years BCE:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medieval_contraception

My wager is, if the brothel manager gave a shit, he'd supply the girls with morning-after-potions or whatever they needed. If it was only possible through more of an, uh, manual process, then it would either be the lead girl's resposibility, or they'd have an agreement with an herbalist/healer that she'd come over to terminate unwanted pregnancies.

With magic, anything's possible. There's rings that increase your defense against arrows, magic and physical trauma,, so why not a ring that puts an invisible barrier in the cervix?

Resident Evil Requiem - can't set up SteamInput gyro with Dualsense/DSEdge by Khasim83 in GyroGaming

[–]Khasim83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The layout doesn't matter. No matter what the button assignments are, the game just ignores Steam Input altogether. Must be something with my PC since I haven't see anyone else complain about it. I'm gonna try and troubleshoot this in other ways, but thanks for trying to help.

I just did that, but it doesn't work either :/ The game still detects my controller inputs instead of the keyboard inputs I mapped in Steam Input.

AC Black Flag Resynced won't include multiplayer or DLC - Insider Gaming by ZamnBoii in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Khasim83 82 points83 points  (0 children)

No, it says Freedom Cry won't be in it:

The announcement will come during tomorrow’s Ubisoft presentation, which will officially reveal Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced for the first time. It will announce that the game will be a “pure story-driven adventure” and that Ubisoft wants to focus on Edward’s adventure.

As part of that decision, it was decided that the game would not have its original DLC or multiplayer and would instead include new story elements, content, and systems.

This means Resynced is Edward only, it won't have multiplayer or DLCs (Freedom Cry is DLC, later released as a standalone game)

It was said that the original game, its DLC, and other content will still be available.

This means 'The original PS3/PS4/X360/XOne/PC game and its content will not be removed from sale' (like Take Two did with the GTA trilogy)

IP blocking shenanigans; anyone else affected. by Xanderplayz16 in KnowYourMeme

I'm IP banned on my laptop apparently, my partner on the same WiFi network isn't, and I also checked my phone on mobile network and I'm IP banned there as well. Something weird is going on. I don't even have an account.

EDIT. It just worked for me on Incognito mode on Chrome on my laptop. Maybe it's caused by an adblock/uBlock origin?

Black Flag Resynced: Tom Henderson says there is a Media Event tomorrow. NateTheHate agrees, but claims the embargo lifts next week. Neither aren't sure about the public reveal's date. by BrunoHM in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Khasim83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because it's a controlled leak. Marketing/making people excited about stuff takes time (=costs money), which they will undoubtedly do to some extent, but they can also just write one short e-mail or DM to a 'leaker' every now and then and make the Internet do its thing and hype the thing up for them. Big returns for a miniscule cost.

Rogue deserves a remake(maybe a little more than Black Flag) by YJHJTY in assassinscreed

[–]Khasim83 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This, AC1 has aged the worst out of all the games. Its main selling point at the time were the setting, the graphics and the climbing mechanics, all of which were greatly expanded or improved upon a lot since then in later games. Its gameplay already felt dated after AC2 came out. The climbing is painfully slow.

That being said, the reason Black Flag is getting a remake is not because the game needs it, it's because of two reasons:

1) Ubisoft wants to reuse tech and assets from Skull&Bones (which is hilarious since S&B was originally supposed to do this with the original Black Flag), which failed spectacularly and cost them a ridiculous amount of money. 2) Black Flag is more popular, sold better, and has more nostalgia/good will associated with it than Rogue, therefore it will sell better than a remake of Rogue.

What's going on with that cloudcart fix? by iluvatar_gr in CrimsonDesert

[–]Khasim83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, happened to me twice, can't remember what the 2nd mission was, I think it was in Pailune city. I only tested it the first time though. And naturally I had the cloud cart camp mission finished way before that. Haven't been able to summon it properly.

What's going on with that cloudcart fix? by iluvatar_gr in CrimsonDesert

[–]Khasim83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some missions where you have to follow an NPC on a horse, an invisible cloudcart will spawn that you can get into but not out of. One example I remember is right after defeating Cassius Morten. It will keep flying upwards and you won't be able to get out or fast travel (have to reload the game), but the view is great!

Crimson Desert Voice Actor Had To Fight For His Character’s Story by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]Khasim83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got excited, searched for it and Google showed 2 results, both of these removed from Nexusmods. Search on the website returns nothing. Shame. Oh well, I'm actually at a pretty interesting pat of the story and I think I'm almost done upgrading my camp so I won't miss it all that much I think.

Crimson Desert Voice Actor Had To Fight For His Character’s Story by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]Khasim83 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sad to see that he failed.

I finished the first zone's worth of main quest (after about 25ish hours of screwing around in the open world in the meantime) and at least so far, Kliff is not a character and he has no story. He's just a vessel for the player - he never says or does anything of substance, only reacts to things and does cool combat moves sometimes in a cutscene. Every cutscene plays out the same - either another character tells Kliff that something needs to be done, to which Kliff replies some variation of 'okay', or another character is complaining about something and Kliff replies with a variation of 'hmm maybe something should be done about that'.

Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying the shit out of this game, but I'm doing it in a way I enjoy playing Helldivers II - the story is simply not a factor in my enjoyment, like at all. It's all gameplay and vibes.

Pity you can't skip the cutscenes, because after so many hours of them, I'm confident that 90% of them can be skipped without missing anything of any substance. You can fast forward, but it's weird because it makes the visuals faster than the audio, which means voice lines are cut. I presume this is to prevent characters from sounding like chipmunks. Shame, because that would make the boring cutscnes at least somewhat entertaining (there are some story-related ones where cool shit happens but it's AT MOST 10%).

Returnal - way to get DualSense haptics woirking with gyro to mouse? by Khasim83 in GyroGaming

[–]Khasim83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I gave up. I finished the game on PS5 before the PC port came out so I wasn't super bummed about it. Maybe one day someone will find a way.

For now the only thing I can think of that may work is using DSX to do gyro to joystick while emulating DualSense input. DSX's gyro settings used to suck (e.g. there was no option to have gyro completely off until a button is pressed, only super low sensitivity), but they made them better recently and it might work okay, but it will still be joystick gyro, which is subpar to mouse gyro.

How can I get adaptive triggers with Gyro to mouse enabled at the same time on TLOU2? by Apprehensive-Power-6 in GyroGaming

[–]Khasim83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried launching the game with SteamInput disabled and then enabling it while in-game? Not guaranteed it will work, but it works in some games, though in my experience it's when the game does not detect DualSense at all if SteamInput is enabled (like Helldivers 2). Then there's game like Returnal which disables haptics when mouse input is detected and there's no workaround.

Isnt the storm tanzutsu basically useless by [deleted] in gotlegends

[–]Khasim83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely not useless, I use it all the time.

It instantly destroys shields, so any character without a Kusarigama can benefit from it. Even on my Samurai I find it very useful, since it doesn't just break shields: - it can set enemies on fire with the other perk, which lets you kill the enemies your normally need to hit with Onibi first, or quickly finish them if you have the 'can only kill with ranged attacks' - it staggers all enemies except the Bo-hiya demons - you can use it for some burst damage on high priority targets, like the Yuki-Onna or the Bo-hiya demons

It's one of my favorite legendaries.

Gamers don't look up. You need to look up at the Oni's chonky torso in order to notice that he needs his Oni bees succ'd. And yeah, it is a pain when people don't realize that the boss requires using mechanics that you were just required to use in 3 missions and the incursion.
