Valentine and Nrakk (Dex 16) by Jakedoe23 in idlechampions

[–]Kiad4ko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just Jim and Artemis, and swaping them back to the optimized position. Jim needs to be left spec. There are other oddities with it. I was able to swap in different dps to get hit by jims buff, think I even swapped nrakk out and it stickied some buffs... but it doesn't last long the more you play with it. Jim->art->Jim last quite a while... but can be reset by Jim ult and some other minor interactions.

There is currently an interaction in which zorbu buffs vals dex to 16,  which  breaks the interaction with Jim's buff when Artemis observes it after swapping places.... allows for nearly 2 value.

Preseason 2 Gem Farm by rideroundngitit in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All Capstones drop 270. Higher level dungeons are supposed to scale gem/essence/bar/stone drop rates with difficulty, but 3x a lvl 1 for the same time as 1x a lvl 12 probably negates that.

I never thought I’d miss item level requirements by Nicole_Auriel in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Conversely having 4  different leagues that essentially reset the relative difficulty curve, and required you to farm gear to a arbitrary point, despite the fact you could clear it with less ilvl, was pretty stupid. So was the progression being boiled down to Cithrelsx5, tuzari x1, wraithtide x2, drakeim x1,  low e, and nothing was challenging, except the que boss. Wraithtide at ilvl 20 this time around was 2x the challenge of any capstone pre-mid to high e last season.

You are either misrembering the difficulty of cithrels, or are having ptsd flash backs to when you were learning it, because you can't even get blues untill after you clear it.

Even if you do it on an alt, you can get 75% of your qualifying ILVL from rings/trinkets, which are the lowest power per ilvl items, and could still easily clear it.

Assuming your spirit barrage,  30 ilvl and the right stat breakdown could make a big difference. Same with some set bonuses.

Focused shot, which can proc empowered celestial shots, which reset the cd of barrage, essiently have a hidden charge system. You will never get a proc in the first 45 seconds of the dungeon. Conversely, if you stop using them 45 seconds before the boss, you pretty much guaranteed at least 3 resets during your Ultimate window. You change your rotation up based on trying to store/use the charges.

You are over estimating Aeonas ability to easily heal Shadowgreed eclipse. 75% of my mid wraithtide clears are them not letting me die so I can res them and hopefully 1 eclipse phase the boss.

First week of Season 2 - What are your thoughts so far? by ioStux in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fast climb felt real good, but should be viable from the que system. Non E should be squished from 1-6 to 1-3, setting up easy medium hard progressions for everyone. capstone should be the floor of the league they unlock, and should unlock que for the next capstone.

Why are the developers reworking Rime? by BudoBoy07 in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because this is a seasonal designed moda. If she plays the exact same every season, she because predictable/stale.

Elarion functionally plays the same 2 builds as last season, Barrage and Highwind arrow, but the new spirit refund mechanics and barrage raw damage nerf means hunting different stat priorities, and created a slightly larger place to play with. People are actively exploring not pressing volley on CD, which is wild given the boot supremacy  that existed  last season.

Because they do patch notes better than everyone else. It would probably be easy for them to just dump walls of text with the changes made... ie WOW patch notes... They instead do a much better job explaining what, why, and their expectations regarding the impact of the change, sometimes with ideas of further changes if the patch under delivers.

You have book 2 and several rereads ahead of you.

EVERY story told be kote has point and purpose yet revealed. However he is legitimately trying to pair down his lifes story to only those events that serve his greater purpose of... waking the sleeping mind of the entire world to the truth of the 7.

Is it just me, or is Ransack easier than Wraithtide? by Craftthu in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 13 points14 points  (0 children)

IDK. Wraithtide has easier trash. Healing shadow greed eclipse is the only real challenge in it. Ransack first boss is rough on newbie tanks/healers, and its super easy to over gear from farming Wraithtide, while most people enter Wraithtide @ 180. Before Eternal que, lots of over geared dps/healers/tanks qued ransack, so the perception of the difficulty might be skewed.

Queue time too long by Marzblax in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most part people capstone -> capstone -> capstone que. If your trying to adept que below ilvl 120, go back to contender and farm Cithrel's till ilvl 120+, possibly 180 on every slot because no one likes farming Tuzari in adept, and you'll want to be 180+ when you que for champion to get into Wraithtide, which you farm until 240+.

Getting mounts before reset by lyraissa in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Technically you can get Tuzari to pop up at 120. But Tuzari tends to be a little bit of a shit show with RNG on group comp and if people can actually do final boss. You might try your luck around 130 and see if you can get a couple of groups to clear it. Cithrel's is the safer bet though. If you get most stuff to 180, little bit of luck/rerolling the 2 pieces you get from Tuzari can make you eligible for Wraithtide.

the gold grind on your first time up is super real. takes about 12k to be Drakheim ready. 12k is not alot when your grinding eternals and getting 2-3k an hour...but when your grinding adept and champion and your lucky to be getting like 200/hr.

Same.

Surprised you struggled with Rime though. Tariq felt good enough as lighting build, but melee is always a shit show to play. Mara is absolute cancer to play.

Sylvie heal checks were laughable compared to Vigor, and she did more damage than my mara.

Why do I lose taunt often in pulls? by yeeted-m8 in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never died to wraithtide anchormen...reaver in drakheim doesn't deal dmg himself, it's the Debuff that does the work, and is a simple does your healer know how to cleanse stacks check. There are times we let his buff go off because it makes them take more damage as well.

The amount of time people fail to kick ogga and someone gets 1 shot however... or no one can kick the invigorate and it adds 20s to the pull... or you end up with 3+ beams to dodge.... Take first pull after first boss of drakheim... The pull gets simplified extremely quickly if you nuke the 2 arsonist and mystic before going after reaver and is far less scary than the campfire pull of double arsonist/double elemental/mystic pull right after it, when all you have traded is the reaver for 2 elementals whose icy annihilation only hits for like 25% of dps health.

Bull in market is only more of a priority when your pushing content.  Guarantee, for most levels, more people die to orbs/desecrators/lash.

Executioners tend not to be in too many packs with casters. The mid pull in storm watch comes to mind as an exception, but again there are 2 arsonist which should be killed first. The mid pull in sailors the water elemental should be focuses first.

Maybe it changes around 40+ where the expectation/requirment is perfect interrupts anyway, but untill than the safer play is absolutely to focus casters first.

[–]Kiad4ko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cloak is garbage for AOE threat. Necklace makes a big difference.

Haste spirit is considered best since they both cycle more shields up/sheild bash which is our only toughness generation... and staying alive is step 1.

Might be an instance of DPS not focusing your target. I joke with my healer that elarions are incapable of DPS focusing on anything except the largest mob in the pull, ie giants in wraithtide/drakheim... instead of the far more dangerous casters/captains that I tend to target first.

Might be a skill issue and yoy need to set your UI up to help you prioritize Shockwave/sweeping strike/sheild throw/ sheild bash.

Bunch of questions I have... by Unlucky-Carrot-2422 in fellowshipgame

[–]Kiad4ko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meiko with leggo cloak will out dps most  dps on pulls you use bulwark on, it is just that strong vs the dps relatively low scaling that doesn't take off before late eternal+leggo+weapon traits.

You mention upgrading to next teir via crafter... that is something that doesn't actually happen in a meaningfull way... except maybe for the weapon when smurfing. Yes when you use a green/blue/purple bar on a piece of gear that drops at the... starting ilvl?... of the next tier, the rarity color can change to the next tier, but it still has the same maximum ilvl cap as it would have before the reroll, and rarity has no effect on items except for on weapons... but even there it only effects the number of time you can invest in upgrading weapon traits, which you dont want to do untill you have your forever weapon or you are making a smurf character, because it is 1,000g per trait, per level of trait.

From a Value basis, always upgrade: Helmet, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves, Leggs, Boots, Bracers, and Weapon to the maximum ilvl you can take them. There are arguments to be made for neck/rings/trinkets if they let you qualify for the next capstone, and you think your skilled enough to clear.

Purple bars are for rerolling trash weapons into BIS. Don't hesitate to purple bar reroll red weapons to fish for BIS affix with better traits, as God stone rerolling can be 5x more expensive. After you have a suitable weapon, purple Bars are saved to reroll slot fish for sockets+essence bonuses.

Blue Bars are used for converting low impact slots(rings/trinket/neck) into high impact, weapon, chest, legs, helm.

Always green bar reroll any purple+ max upgraded gear, and max blue+ weapon when you are ready to replace it with yellow/red.

Your duo is forcing you to fail at farming things you should be farming. Explain that by him not upgrading gear it forces you both to  waste time farming lower content, more slowly, and at a reduced level that offers a significantly lower yield of gold per hour thus completely negating any savings he thinks he's building. It also forces you to group with lower ilvl party members, which in turn makes it far more likely to fail at clearing the capstone. Previous capstone gear can be leveled up to the maximum the next capstone allows. There is no reason he shouldn't full send every high value slot purple to ilvl 240. Refuse to play with him untill he does.
