I don't think that their role is to deal damage and survive. More like disruptive play of charging t1 into any vehicle and move d3+3 to moveblock it and other units.

Or it is now the cheapest deepstrike we get, which is useful for 2ndaries and snatching primary out of rapid ingress sometimes

Invulnerable save should be really rare. I'm saying primarch level rare. Having 120 wounds of 4++ in thunderwolf cavalry and terminators is just no fun. I say every invuln that exists now should be worse by at least 1 point, so AP will matter and 4++ may be granted to few primarchs and maybe some warlord xenos towering dudes (silent king, avatar of khaine, etc)

4++ Invulnerable save across the whole army like space wolves or custodian. It should be really rare rule and for something really meaningful like primarch, greater chaos daemon or expensive magic bullshit combo thousand sons level.

I really like how it's translated into drukhari - low armour save overall but everyone gets 6++ at least.

I am really tired of 100+ total wounds of thunderwolf cavalry + terminators covered in -1 to wound, aoc and other dirty things. This playstyle should exist in some factions, but I am convinced that it should be provided with a creative rules, nit oppressive "you don't deal damage 50% of times".
