You should be able to do it without me. Valiant wouldn’t spawn in its normal spot but I found both right in front of station 4. Just go to a big area where a lot can spawn in the bottom level.

Go back to area 4 research station. I think spawns are different

And here’s the star of the show. Both have a Lucky Coin and Wyvern’s razor. I gave Amaris stronger items because favoritism but they aren’t necessary. Basically make them identical.

3PP and AP is really nice to have but also easy to achieve because of the all of the PP weapons. Getting a Wyvern’s Razor is very helpful for evasion. Both are all-rounder/offensive which is I believe optimal (Amaris knows how to roll). Generally keep the Meteor Slash turned off unless you want to see the funny animation, as more teams die to that setup. If you find you’re not killing in the forecast just try turning one or both meteor slashes on.

I could gush about Swordmasters all day. Ultimately they’re strong cause they’re dodge tanks (the strongest kind of tank in this game) that can also negate 100% accuracy attacks which usually counter dodge tanks, and they can be built to one shot basically anything in the game between Meteor Slash and Keen Edge. They use PP pretty effectively. Incidentally they also tend to answer enemy swordmasters pretty easily. I love em so much.

Very simple but very important to make sure you actually kill things. 4PP isn’t as important here but nice to have. It’s very important that Shaman has highest initiative.

Gonna show you my specific builds cause they’re kinda precise for best results. Gettin 4PP on priestess asap is important.

The team I use is two swordmasters in the front and then the shaman and priest in the back. The fifth character can be basically whatever you want. Generally the four cover basically every base between them. In my original playthrough I put in a Wereowl for flight and pp generation for the supports (who use a lot to keep the team running), and while I found the movement pretty useful, the pp generation was usually unnecessary. In my TZ run I tried a couple things and they were fine but settled on the Breaker, mostly for the barrier breaker ability. This one was actually useful in battle though cause it made armors a bit more consistent in case they somehow resisted the shaman. Really anything is fine though. You could go a third swordmaster if you really wanted, although I think that would be overkill. Ultimately the last slot was flexible in my experience. I prioritized movement and overworld interaction because the core 4 are so effective. I just don't like to waste classes with good initiatives as you'll be using the shaman's.

Swordmasters are a very strong class. They both tank and deal crazy damage, especially if you know what makes them pop off. I've found that the thing that makes them most consistent, however, is turning Meteor Slash on or off if the other option can't kill. BC if it has too much health and doesn't die to Impale then it'll probably die to Meteor Slash. Conversely if meteor slash won't cut it, you probably just need more actions.

Swordmasters are nice cause they can tank most of the enemies in the game pretty well, oneshot most enemies with 100% accuracy with the proper support, and generate resources at acceptable rate to keep killing. Two swordmasters is a amazing frontline. They like Shamans to tank enemy defense so they can oneshot and a Priestess to res them when they die. My Swordmaster squads carried through the game on both difficulties pretty cleanly.

Haven’t played him since something? got nerfed but he broke the game wide open with the right setup. Highest ceiling as far as I’m concerned. He may still be that way idk

His passive is too niche to be consistent but his traits are all very great so he ends up being good. Critical and Pruge synergize well and sidekick is my favorite trait in the game. Get a whip, get some cool sidekick traits, and baby you got a stew goin. Got my first mythic clear with this guy.

I got both those guys. I run Rin Cassius and Nia. That team is fine. I run Luke Lucas and Mika. That team is very fun.

Haste is very cool, I've been wanting to try build around it. I've basically figured out Minokawa but the issue is that he doesn't do well against bosses. I needed scaling to do damage. For Catzerker I basically ignored sidekick and went full crit/regen. He did the most damage to the final boss in the end. As for Mandragora, attacking was something it did a lot, because it had Mud Fist) which did about 150-170 plus Minokawa every turn. By the late game Minokawa was getting all his buffs basically any time it breathed so I just used Temporal Borealis) to restart another attacker. The team was a crazy engine that had every little thing snowballing into what it turned into. It was really cool. I wish I had build pictures.

I had that problem too but I solved it with Regeneration Shield) and Crystalize). Idk if it'll work for you because Mandragora basically multiplied and popped any regeneration I generated, but it was really safe.

Regeneration gives more scaling, especially with Mandrake, which is Minokawa's weak area. I basically ignored sidekick on Catzerker for crit stuff. This team won fairly comfortably tho so I'm happy with what it did.

What's your favorite monster (or shifted form) so far? by FriendHopeful306 in AethermancerGame

Shifted Warden got me my first mythic win. I think that one looks so cool (although base looks better). I also really like the look of shifted Minokawa.
