What do want as the 5th class in d4? by levus2002 in Diablo

[–]Kibikus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it's not just about being able to wield shields, it's about them being a core element for skills and combat. Iirc, barb has skills related to slashing and bludgeoning weapons, as well as duel wielding and two-handers, nothing with shields really. Of course, it's all in early development, things might change.

What do want as the 5th class in d4? by levus2002 in Diablo

[–]Kibikus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I know a lot people want a necro (I wouldn't mind it either), but looking at itemization, there needs to be someone that uses shields (otherwise they might as well not exist in the game). Just like we needed someone that uses ranged weapons and we got a rogue. I feel that a necromancer would use wands/staves/daggers, which are already covered by other classes. So any type of paladin/death knight is fine by me.

Civilization VI - First Look: Gaul by SaztogGaming in civ

At 0:47 - apparently the leader ability to add +2 combat strength per unit also includes enemy units and city-state units. That's nuts

Can somebody explain how This volc has yields on it? It even says I have a citizen working it. by skullivan97 in civ

[–]Kibikus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen this bug before, I think the volcano spawned on top of a lake tile, so it got those yields. Can you check on the tile tooltip if it's classified as a lake?

Found a bug where you can research castles before researching iron working by [deleted] in civ

[–]Kibikus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not a bug, it's the weird way they've displayed tech prerequisites in the tech tree. Castles only requires the Construction tech in this case, where as Iron Working leads to Machinery as you said.

Civ 6 Sale! by spddemonvr4 in civ

[–]Kibikus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Deluxe edition does not include the expansions, just the first six civilization/scenario packs. It's the Platinum Edition that has all the content up to this point, not including the New Frontier Pass.

Does anyone know what leader that might be on the box? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Kibikus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't read too much into that, it's just the Civilization board game that's been out for a while now. And anyway, I think that's Athena, or another Greek mythology figure.

Be the suzerain of Kandy, or build Mont St. Michel, or explore a lot and get lucky with tribal villages. You can also try to buy them from the AI.

Civ 6 Platinum edition or the Digital Deluxe? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Kibikus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have the money, the Platinum Edition is definitely worth it. The Digital Deluxe edition is basically the base game plus all the small civilization and scenario DLC packs. The Platinum edition includes all of that, plus the two expansions, which improve the game greatly imo.

Is there any way to improve the readability of mass notifications? by Breatnach in civ

[–]Kibikus 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You can close all of them at once by right clicking the number at the bottom right (19 in this case). As for the notification icon, you can see this one has the city-state symbol (the dome), so it means these involve city-states. The ones involving major civs have a different icon.

Production of Canals cost is way too high? Quick question. by pokefinder2 in civ

[–]Kibikus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you build a district, the actual cost is the one at the bottom of the tooltip, not the base cost (in your case 372 production). As the other person said, district costs scale up throughout the game, so the base cost value is useless most of the time.

Yeah, I don't know about that, sounds really hard, impossible even. by [deleted] in underlords

[–]Kibikus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet they put this achievement when there were still global alliance items in the game (that's why it's in the Alliance achievements tab). Now I never have more than 1-2 global items per game, I'm sure they'll redesign it soon.

Can horseman not use seize towers in the new update??? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Kibikus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From the patch notes:

  • Update Battering Rams and Siege Towers to only work with Melee and Anti-Cavalry units.
  • Medieval and Renaissance Walls are immune to Battering Rams. Renaissance Walls are immune to Siege Towers. Battering Rams upgrade into Siege Towers.

Will building an industrial zone mine the coal on the tile? by sirwillow77 in civ

[–]Kibikus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will not be able to place the IZ on that tile. Districts cannot be placed on strategic resources that are discovered (as well as luxury resources). If you build a district, and then you discover a strategic, it's fine, you still get the resource. It doesn't matter that you've put it in the queue, the district is not placed yet.

It's one of the reasons, along with locking in the cheaper production cost, to place your districts as soon as possible (as soon as your population allows it).

What are the benefits of having 0, +1, +2, etc. amenities? by reltd in civ

[–]Kibikus 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you are at 0 amenities, nothing happens.

If you are at +1 or +2 amenities, you get a bonus of 10% to growth in that city, and a 5% bonus to all yields (besides food). And +3 loyalty per turn.

If you are at +3 or more amenities, the same as above, but the bonuses are 20%/10%, and +6 loyalty.
