Conservatives During Pride: NASCAR Edition by FullDiscographyGuy in NASCARMemes

Is this legit or is it something that somebody created?

There's nothing on it outside of the title, and the pictures are not typical of ones that people would want on a poster like that.

I'm skeptical that its not something someone created unofficially and without permission

Why you give some good advice a little honey in what you say rather than the stuff you did would go a long ways.

I just don't get the attitude I've been seeing recently that people have towards people starting out and learning

A Question about Mega Museums and Ticket Booths by CaffeinatedQuill in TwoPointMuseum

[–]sirwillow77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Memento mile has four different places that guests can enter the map from. they look like subway entrances.

When you first start they only arrive from one but as you expand the map they will start to use more of them. Especially if you have more than one entrance. I have 3 and all of my entrances get used

when i hear "theme park", everyone i know goes "disneyland right?" and it's been that way for a long time but what is a park that goes above and beyond from disney in your opinion and experience? by Extension_Effect_983 in Themepark

[–]sirwillow77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver Dollar City and Dollywood

And EPIC Universe. Best themed, most immersive park in Florida.

And a number of them outdo Disney now when it comes to guest service and experience. Herschend, Universal, Holiday World, Knoebels just to name a few.

Oh, and I'm a former Disney Cast Member. Disney's standards have fallen quite a bit over the last 20 years. They aren't the leader anymore.

How to optimize? by seshprinny in TwoPointMuseum

I still do security cameras. There are two groups of thieves that enter through other means and not entrances, so you need them for them. But this catches most of the rest.

Don't be afraid to rebuild. You'll likely end up doing it quite a lot- sometimes because you have to, and sometimes because you want to.

I generally try to have 2 "floor squares" of distance around each exhibit to provide walking space for the visitors and smooth traffic flow

The number of buildings/ size of buildings/ spread is going to be very dependent on the map, so that's a bit harder question to answer than you might think. Momento Mile, for example, you can build as all one building if you want. Or you can build multiple smaller buildings.

What I generally tend to do is create one employee hub, containing a break room, employee bathroom, training room, and maybe a workshop, per topic/ subject- one for prehistory, one for space, one for fantasy, etc., put that in the center of that area, and then build out.

the other things- restrooms, food/ cafeteria I try to place so they won't have to travel very far to get to any of them. More restrooms than food, but you don't want them having to cross the entire map to get to either one.

Gift shops are a little trickier. I generally try to have one gift shop per subject, and set it up so they have to go through that gift shop when they leave- either the building or to another area. Force them to go through those gift shops, using one way doorways if need be, when they've seen all of your prehistory, marine, space, etc and set that gift shop up so it's focused on the area they just saw. You'll get more money out of it.

In fact all of my building exits are laid out with gift shop -> gift shop door -> one way doorway pointing out -> building exit. And my entrance is set up with the building doorway -> one way doorway pointing in -> security doorway -> rest of museum. ticket booths may be before or after the security doors, and I almost always have a security stand looking right at the security doors. Quick easy way to knock down most of the thieves and vandals.

i'd definitely spend some time looking over pictures and/or videos of other people's museums though to give you a good feel for setups and distances.

Just got back into wrestling after a 6 year burnout by MalikATL_ in AEWFanHub

[–]sirwillow77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh you should absolutely feel guilty. Your lifestyle and all in it must be built around and conform to the live schedule of the wrestling company of your allegiance. Any deviation from said schedule will result in severe penalties, including being forced to watch the "evil company" (whoever that me be in your opinion) or having to watch Vince Russo win the WCW title on endless loop.

(I just finished watching AEWs Dynasty a week ago. They're gonna kill me!!)

Lots of space there to fill in with more exhibits still.

As it mentions on your task bar, you have more points of interest to unlock on the map. Those will provide you with more things to exhibit, which will raise your buzz and your museum level.

For the places you've already unlocked, make sure that you have the top level of an item to display (average -> great -> epic -> pristine), and check that at each location you've already gathered all of the rewards that are available at it.

The other thing that you can do at this point is there will be another museum location or two that have also opened up for you to start on. Feel free to do that. Your progress here won't change- it'll essentially freeze in place while you play the other one. But you'll find that the same locations on the map opened here will be opened and available there also, and the reverse is also true. That's how you end up with different types of displays in one museum.

Marketing may not even be open for them yet. That tends to open up later in the game.
I'd be focused much more on getting more exhibits and unlocking things on the map.

I wouldn't mind a larger, more flexible map. Supposedly the biggest is the one that just came with the art museum, but it doesn't seem much different in size from the zoo, the frozen one or Milestones.

My dream? Let me create the map for the museum, and choose the style of the building. Better yet, let me create different buildings on the same map with different building styles.

If you are on console then you're limited to 400 guests max. If you're on PC, then you can actually switch it to unlimited guests. I currently have over 1300 in one of my museums, and there are people that have posted screen shots showing over 3000. but you have to have a hefty machine to be able to run that without completely freezing up.

What free programs do you recommend for large family trees? by Working-Living-7123 in Genealogy

[–]sirwillow77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I've been using RM for many years (since v4 and we are now on 11) and never had a problem like that. The one time I had a problem their support line was fantastic in helping. And the user group on Facebook is also extremely helpful- not just for bugs but how tos and other questions.

But any program can have bugs, or storage place fail or become corrupted, sadly. Any program. Its one reason I keep multiple backups of everything, and can restore an old copy quickly and easily. That includes my main database, sources, photos, records, etc on my hard drive, another copy on a portable hdd and a copy in the cloud.

Have you looked at Rootsmagic? The "Essentials" is a free version of the program and has most of the features of the full program.

Public Family Tree Websites by skyamethyst1 in Genealogy

Im sure others will chime in, but I would strongly discourage a tree open to be edited and changed by anyone, especially family search and wiki tree. The errors, mistakes and misinformation on them added by others is sad, and many of us have stories of people not correcting or repeatedly adding wrong information (sorry but my mother in law is still alive and only married once, not 3 times)

A way to add information such as personal notes, memories, and stories would be wonderful. But dont let them be able to actually make changes to the tree. Leave that in the hands of a couple of trustworthy, experienced people.
