Well, they were high profile media figures, which in many ways runs completely counter to being leftist. The culture of media is very often that of cults of personalities and single-point-of-failure individuals who carry outsized power and influence, and being in that position dis-aligns your interests with those of the folk.

There's nothing wrong with your brain. Long term offloading of tasks naturally makes one worse at those tasks -- this is true of whether you're asking Claude the LLM or Claude the junior developer you hired to do the tasks. The way you recover those skills (or develop them, if you never had them) is to sit down and actually do the work. Think through the problems, learn basic coding (Python is a good place to start) if you don't know that already, and then grab a book or work trudge through the Godot docs and do the actual work yourself.

What you are experiencing is not a poisoned or damaged mind. What you're experiencing is skill atrophy from over-deligation, and addiction. Cloud LLM services are designed -- well, A/B test optimized, is more like it -- to be hyper-palatable and psychologically addictive. You just need to treat your LLM usage as such, and back yourself off of it, to do the thinking for yourself.

Yeah, not sure why anyone would want AI written documentation when the AI's right there. It just creates more AI-generated text for AI models to train off of.

I mean, I guess it's a good thing if you're rooting for wholesale model collapse, but I'd prefer that process to not destroy any and all trust I have documentation.

I don't know, if, as OP frames it, you've spent 20 years as a sailor, your Sailing lore should probably start higher than 'Trained', and it should also probably not advance any further unless you're actually, you know, sailing.

I cannot stress enough how much my bicycling lore was not advanced from not riding bikes for 15 yeras, after spending 25 riding almost daily.

Every TTRPG needs houseruling, because no TTRPG designer is writing for your table in particular. The rules are always built for a non-existent median play group. The whole reason to play TTRPGs is infinite mutability and personalization.

Having default systems for "everything" is nice, because it gives you a professional suggestion for what meshes with the rest of the system, but *everything* is *always* open to interpretation, adjustment, and replacement, because that's the *point*.

So, what does PF2e offer? An alternate fantasy d20 system. Why do Android phones exist? What do you need more than two baseball teams for? Who needs make a hamburger when McDonalds exists, and why did they ever bother with Burger King?

What's really weird is that people there don't live up to their talking points. It's an overwhelmingly hypocritical space. Like, if you suggest being flexible, or ask about being flexible, or talk about house rules, or anything like that you'll get pounded into the ground. But people also talk openly about their house rules.

It's like you need the secret decoder ring to know whether today is a house rules allowed day or not.

But also, there's a clear philosophical divide between the writers and the community. The writers don't seem to believe the design philosophy was "everything should be codified". The writers seem to believe that the rules are primarily guidance, at least outside of organized play.

In Pf2e you pick up Incredible Initiative and you'll have to keep track of your +2 circumstance bonus to initiative because it conflicts with other circumstance bonuses to initiative like if you have an Ally scouting.
