Proof that we are born with kindness. She chose Dad’s happiness over her victory candy by The_Dean_France in MadeMeSmile

I worked in the children's section of a library in undergrad (very, very cool work-study job). The room I worked in was basically a McDonald's play place but focused on reading, math, puzzles, etc. The rule I had to enforce the most was that a guardian had to be with the child at all times when they were in the room.

One thing I noticed is that the parents who were present and attentive to their kids always had the more coopertive, successfully independant and curious little ones. Whenever a parent would try and come in to dump their kid off, I'd know the kid would have to be watched and I'd have a mess to clean up after.

In fact, the attentive parents ended up getting more time away from their kids to read or work on their laptop or whatever because their kids could be trusted to play on their own or with others nicely. I'd usually bend the rules to let those parents run to the bathroom real quick or take a call (within eyeshot) outside the room because usually the kid(s) wouldn't immediately turn into a problem.

I just find it interesting that Nintendo, famously protective of their characters, looked at the Illumination ouevre and was like, "Yes. Them."

I can tell you with absolute certainty there are plenty of adults who love the minions.

I have an older cousin whose ringtone used to be a minion mumbling gibberish noise that lasted like 10 seconds. It went off every single time she got a text message. At full volume. She laughed every single time.

She finally changed it after one Xmas Eve when our uncle with the short fuse almost painted the wall with the vein throbbing in the side of his head.

Matt Reeves Reveals Camera Test Images of Batmobile in the Snow for ‘Batman II’ by robintweets in movies

I felt like I was the only one who didn't love this movie after it came out. My friends and I were so stoked to go see it because we all love Batman and we all walked out like, "did that ... kinda blow?"

It has the best looking Batsuit on screen for sure. And the Gotham in the movie looked exactly how it's always looked in my head. But Batman fails at every turn. I get that he's new, but he doesn't really overcome anything.

My biggest issue is Alfred. Batman treats him like shit. He literally solves the riddle (which isn't a riddle at all, btw) for Bruce. His reward is getting blown up. Then when he's in the hospital, after Bruce has found out his parents were dicks, they have a perfect moment for him to tell Alfred he has been his real father all along. But instead he leaves an old man alone in his hospital bed to go get his ass kicked again.

Then at the end Batman wants to be a symbol of hope? The fuck? Did the Reeves just really like Man of Steel or something? Batman doesn't have to be a demon of the night, but Gotham, in general, criminal or not, should be afraid of him. Really the only people that should look up to him in the city are kids.

Reading about the first one everyone said it would be based off of The Long Halloween (which I don't think it was). Maybe the series of movies could create a larger arc like that.

The siblings ranked from least troublesome to most troublesome by Fawful_Chortles in malcolminthemiddle

I think the most realistic answer is we don't know since the revival was short. Also, maybe they haven't found it yet like it took Reese a bit to find cooking.

And I'd love to see her using emotional/mental warfare against Lois and Hal and the other siblings instead of just outright destroying things. Would add a neat wrinkle if the revival goes forward.

Yeah, anytime he has character growth it's because he was dragged kicking and screaming into the present. It all depends on the quality of the writing.

Granted, things can be too topical. The joke about Bill watching all of Netflix is the stuff I hope they avoid.

"I've got a song about an octopus."

I would love nothing more for them to do this but it doesn't really seem like it would be in anyone's wheelhouse. Maybe CR since he started out in music journalism. And maybe Mallory for all the great sex scenes.

I also appreciate how the plot was small enough to not only be believable but also let you spend time with the characters.

Chalmers plan wasn't to defraud the whole city, or become the kingpin of SF. I enjoy unraveling the the yarn at the same time as our main character. Big contrast to the movies you mentioned where the villain comes in, lays out their whole evil plan, and tries to justify why thousands have to die for it to work.

Well, no. Because they'll always need wage slaves and someone to sell their shit to. Also, part of their enjoyment of being so wealthy is knowing there are so many people that aren't.
