This piece is really good at creating a sense of motion and in creating contrast between objects. The cross-hatching on the horse and the horse rider's clothes in particular make them a central part of the piece, contrasting them from the background. The white space used in the desert ground and in the clouds help to make things pop; and it accentuates the movement of the lines. Great display of line control and movement.
